My rule: Let's make the world a better place Its better in Canada and Australia where indigenous people can use the justice system to force the negotiation of treaties to settle their issues peacefully. Israel of course is in a far freer better position to initiate negotiations. Precisely. I prefer Israel because it is a civilsed, democratic society ===== As to Ukraine/Russia? This is a civil war - not my problem. China? I prefer to live in a multi-polar world. After 1815, Europe had peace for 100 years. Quote

Israel may be democratic but it's a terrible example of a country that treats indigenous people in a civilized manner. 5 minutes ago, August1991 said: 1. As to Ukraine/Russia? I'd prefer a world no respect for dictators 3. Yes, well Europe had a planet for the taking - it was a brief Halcyon Age that's left an apparently enduring legacy of geopolitical dysfunction that we'll all be lucky to get past in one piece. 1 Quote A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

No. I don't like that Israel keeps populating the west bank with Jewish settlements, but that's not "illegal". It closes the possibility of a future Palestinian state completely. The Palestinians have not been the easiest people to deal with, but taking the West Bank from them is something Israel has chosen to do. Quote
