More like why did they come up with a new derrogatory term that is designed to drive wedges between people by dehumanizing a group. 'Straight' also means cisgender heterosexual. Hetero also means heterosexual. But 'Cis' was used as a derogatory term, and people have been complaining about it so hateful people came up with a new term (which is redundant) to try to keep 'cis' in there so they could make average people sound less human. It's what the left does - the co-opt words they like and twist them out of their regular meaning and they come up with 'socially acceptable hate words' to dehumanize. You really are terrible people.
