California driving INSURERS out of the state

California is killing another industry that families need

California is destroying an industry that working families and job creators desperately need

Insurance companies are now fleeing the state, driven away by the strangling red tape of government bureaucracy. Will this alarming trend spur other states to foster competition and innovation, or will they follow in California's footsteps, leaving citizens grappling with dwindling options and skyrocketing prices?

This question urgently needs to be answered now that the nation’s largest property insurer, State Farm, has announced it will no longer sell home-insurance policies in California. The late May decision follows a similar call by insurance giant GEICO, which closed all sales centers in the state last year.

Leaving California

Whoever said California was FAMILY FRIENDLY?

Today, that homo state is a pure socialist model. NO MIDDLE CLASS. Just the super rich and the homeless.

These animals don't need insurance to drive stolen cars or live on the street.

th?id=OIP.bjXx9e7_HsiAY0inTneO0wAAAA&pid

And the super rich have plenty of money to fix whatever gets broken.

If America were a hospital, California would be the Downs Syndrome wing.

Oh, by the way. Wanna know why OBAMACARE led to (a) MILLIONS losing their coverage and (b) insurance premiums skyrocketing?
Insurance companies are not required by law to take it in the ass.

California's GDP is by far the largest in the US, over 2.5 times that of Florida.

California is a GHETTO, that is BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN DEBT.

California's economy is SHRINKING and more and more companies are MOVING OUT.

Florida has a budget surplus, NO STATE INCOME TAX, and the fastest growing economy in America.

care to guess where this photo was taken?

Photos of Alturas, California trails | AllTrails

It is irrelevant to the subject of the thread. I don't see any insurance company offices in that photo.

If that is so.. then how do you explain places like Susanville, Weed, Alturas, Fort Bidwell that have no homeless and are not super rich by any means. The northern half of the state is mostly Conservative and not all that different from what you find in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, or Utah.

No middle class earner can live in a state with that high cost of living, the oppressive taxes, etc.

If you're telling me that somehow those towns are exempt from the HUGE and RECORD HIGHEST IN THE COUNTRY STATE INCOME TAXES, I'll wait patiently for a link from the state statutes showing that.

ALL of Florida is middle class, even the most expensive areas like Orlando and Miami. Here, the middle class earns more because our economy is the best in the country and we have NO state income taxes.

In any case, all of that is irrelevant. The thread is about the Nazi government of California chasing insurers out.

I hate to tell you but there are middle class in CA. You are focusing on San Francisco proper, Marin County, and and Los Angeles. The housing in these areas is horribly expensive because of high paying technology jobs. Those who work in the technology sector in San Francisco and the Silicon Valley can easily afford $4000 to rent a 2 bed room apt. Average salary for a programmer at Google.. $195K per year.

No, no one is exempt from the state income taxes but there are plenty of average, middle class people in CA.. if not then feel free to explain how places like Susanville, Weed, Alturas, Quincy, and Yreka can exist and be so average.

AGAIN, this thread is about California's National socialist atmosphere chasing INSURERS out of the state.

What does a middle class have to do with that ?

I still maintain there is NO middle class there, not like the middle class elsewhere. Those people are struggling and they are moving out. I just don't want those retards to move to red states where their dumbass voting patterns can screw up those place.

And , TO GET BACK TO THE SUBJECT OF THE THREAD, California is driving insurers out of the state. Do you have anything intelligent to add about the SUBJECT OF THE THREAD or do you still want to play this mor0nic game?

If you do not want to be called out on something.. then do not write it. if you can't handle the heat then stay out of the kitchen as they saying goes. There is a middle class.. kind of impossible to not have one. If you have 10 people.. the middle class would be the 4th, 5th, and 6th people if you ranked them by income.

Have seen the State of CA taking preventative measures against these forest fires. Now, can they prevent all of them? not even close. For those who do not know the terrain, the northern 1/3 of CA is vast and mostly empty. They only have so much money and resources available for fuel reduction. Still, this has not been popular with environmentalists who romanticize the untouched, old growth forest.

Someone would have a shit fit if the real reason insurers are bailing out of California was revealed.

The increasing risks from flood and wildfire claims due to climate change and sticking to their gouge and screw consumer's rate tables would make home insurance as high as the mortgage payments.
No one could afford it, therefore there's no market.

And no one could even consider forming a state run insurance agency to provide everyone insurance at a reasonable non-profit price as that would just be communism, right righties?

Well, you're wrong again. And apparently you're TOO STUPID to read the first post and the article from which it was created.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/wildfires-arent-getting-worse-because-climate-change-real-culprit-surprise-you

Wildfires aren’t getting worse because of climate change. The real culprit will surprise

More than 100 wildfires are sweeping their way across the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario, sending waves of smoke into major cities in the northeastern United States, including New York and Philadelphia.

Predictably, the Biden administration and his alarmist allies in Congress are wasting no time in using the wildfires to call attention to climate change and for sweeping changes to the U.S. energy system.

For example, on June 7, Biden tweeted, "We’ve deployed more than 600 U.S. firefighters, support personnel and equipment to support Canada as they respond to record wildfires – events that are intensifying because of the climate crisis."

However, despite countless statements from liberals and climate activists over the past two decades about the dangers of wildfires and extreme weather events caused by climate change, the available evidence overwhelmingly shows that no such connection exists. Wildfires are not becoming more frequent or burning more acreage. In fact, just the opposite is true.

The U.S. National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), which has been tracking wildfires for decades, reports that the number of fires in 2022 was 68,988, and the amount of acreage burned was 7.57 million acres.

I always love it when an uneducated goose stepper pulls a LIE out of his/her/its ass and thinks he/she/it is somehow clever.

GOVERNMENT RED TAPE is what is causing insurance companies to leave the state of California.

You left wingers are truly brain dead.

Oh right, your Lord and Master said it wasn't climate change, it was the failure to send millions of people out raking the forests... yes I remember the pinhead pronouncing that.

Ur a dope. For thousands of years man knew to clean and maintain forestry. I've even helped clean the forest surrounding my wife's home. But the greenies have passed laws preventing that.

the forest fires in CA are mostly a function of prioritizing other things over that of forest management. When you go years with minimal damage.. you think that you can get away with it for another year and then another year after that. As for the laws that have been contentious.. they are the ones concerning clearing brush and trees from near power poles and other utilities. Less-than-intelligent laws but those are the ones that have  been impactful.

I will bring it up again.. lots of Northern CA is vast and empty. I have been to the very NE portion. Lots of untouched country. Lots of fuel for a wildfire.

Oh the poor hard done by Insurance companies. We have to stand up for their right to rip us off. Just like we do for Big Oil and Big Pharma.

No one is holding a gun to your head for big Pharma (except the Pro Covid DemoNazis). No one is making you drive a car so you need not bother with Big Oil. Just walk or ride a bicycle everywhere and quit whining about what you are entitled to.

And since Calif@gula's oppressive over regulation of the insurance industry has driven many insurers from that state, we'll sit back here in the red states and laugh our asses off at you retards having to pay HIGHER PREMIUMS because you drove away the competition.

The are Capitalism's Golden Children and we must think of the children

The only interest your side of the aisle has in children is exploiting them sexually.

Capitalism is a force of nature. It is a science. It exists completely separate from whatever goose stepping National Socialism you retards profess. Just as 200 years ago, capital seeks out the most productive entities. Since you goose steppers are on welfare, you are at the bottom of the chain. (At least homeless illegal aliens will work jobs illegally for way below minimum wage.)

People do not realize that in the United STates there are MORE trees today than there were 100 years ago. This is because modern capitalism has pioneered both land management and the self sustaining logging industry. 100 years ago, whole forests were lost through fires.

The issue in CA is a layered one. First, higher populations as opposed to 1900 has led to greater demand for the water. Therefore, a lot of places in the very northern most and southern most parts of the state have historically been rather arid and now you add in humans sucking the groundwater dry.. it makes for higher ground temps and drier soil. Second, the romanticizing of the old growth forest has led to vast areas being left alone and therefore dead leaves, pine needles, and other plant debris are left behind. Keep in mind that a lot of northern CA is uninhabited so saying that folks should just rake it up shows a lack of context.

The ONLY issue in California is pi$s poor management. That state is NOT running out of water. It borders the fcking PACIFIC OCEAN, which is the LARGEST body of water on the planet. That state is merely running out of CHEAP WATER. One can build desal plants all along the coast and FLOOD that state with drinking water.

Romanticizing old growth forest is a LEFT WING idea. Old growth trees contribute VERY LITTLE photosynthetic  activity to the atmosphere, and old growth trees are most likely to catch fire. Conservatives believe in LOGGING and replanting new trees, which convert Chinese CO2 into oxygen. And only a total MOR0N blames the climate change myth for those fires. THERE IS NO CLIMATE CHANGE TODAY. And if the climate changes, it won't be due to human activity.

California hasn't had a competent governor or legislature since Governor Reagan.
