Another indication that the world is moving on. The last of the PUA (unemployment insurance for non-covered employees) cases was closed and that puts an end to it. NV was the last state to have one. As for mandates, the current governor effectively ended the possibility of them coming back. His primary issues are diversifying the economy and affordable housing.

What they fail to realize is that most (not all) folks simply wanted the covid saga to be over. As soon as it was... they discarded that not so great time and moved on. Some (these 5 or 6 posters) want retribution or revenge. Hence, why they keep dredging it up in hopes of their enemies capitulating and telling them what they want to hear. The ones insisting that there is nothing to see here move on are doing so because they want to do the same thing in similar circumstances in the future and they don't want people reflecting and deciding that it was a bad move.

If they admit and it becomes generally accepted that the response was a bad response and that things should have been done differently, then in any crisis in the future where they wish to impose severe restrictions this will be held up as an example of why a knee jerk reaction or authoritarianism isn't a solution.

That does not work for them.
