Companies and jobs returned by the Trump Tax Cuts? https://www.gobankingrates.com/money/business/companies-reinvested-america-following-trumps-election/ Quote Ford In September 2016, Ford announced that the automaker’s small-car production would exit the U.S. for Mexico, where production costs are lower. Although the move drew criticism from then-candidate Trump, the presidential hopeful met with executive chairman Bill Ford, Jr. the following month to threaten steep tariffs on Ford imports should he become president. After Trump’s election, Ford issued a press release announcing that one vehicle slated for production in Mexico, the Lincoln utility vehicle, would continue to be manufactured in Kentucky. “We are encouraged that President-elect Donald Trump and the new Congress will pursue policies that will improve U.S. competitiveness and make it possible to keep production of this vehicle here in the United States,” the press release stated. On Jan. 3, 2017, Ford announced plans to cancel a new $1.6 billion plant planned in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Opting not to relocate production outside of the country saved approximately 3,500 U.S. jobs, according to a Ford press release. Instead, 700 additional new jobs will be created from a $700 million expansion of a Michigan plant focused on building high-tech electric and autonomous vehicles along with the Lincoln Continental and Mustang. Quote Dow Chemical At Trump’s post-election victory rally in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Dec. 9, 2016, the spotlight wasn’t just on the President-elect. Dow Chemical’s Chairman and CEO Andrew Liveris announced the company was bringing jobs to the Great Lake State. The CEO took the stage to describe the company’s’ more than 100-year history in Midland. “We aren’t stopping there,” Liveris said at the rally. “Tonight, in honor of the President-elect and his being here to thank you all, we’ve made a decision.” Liveris described the new state-of-the-art center that will add several hundred jobs to the 7,000 Dow already provides in the community. “We’re going to use American hard work and American brains,” said Liveris. The center will bring 100 jobs to Midland, plus restore 100 lost to foreign operations. Quote General Motors Company General Motors Company produces vehicles on six continents, but its history began in America. Shortly after Trump won the election, the company issued a congratulatory press release affirming its commitment to support the U.S. manufacturing industry. “GM looks forward to working with President-elect Donald J. Trump and the new Congress on policies that support a strong and competitive U.S. manufacturing base. GM will continue to do its part to transform the future of mobility, in America and around the world.” The day following the election, General Motors announced a $900 million investment in an upgrade to facilities in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana for future product programs. On Jan. 17, 2017, just a few days before the inauguration, GM announced a $1 billion additional investment in U.S. manufacturing operations on top of the $2.9 billion in commitments the company made in 2016. The projects will create or retain 1,500 jobs and develop advanced technology, automobile components and new vehicles. The article lists four more. You're not even a smart LIAR. 2. Substitute teachers have the SAME educational requirements as real teachers. A bachelor's degree. 120 credit hours. And subs have to undergo the SAME orientation courses as real teachers. (Bullying, asbestos, blood borne pathogens, active shooter, stuff like that.) Of course, I'm only going by the three counties I have certified to sub at. (Orange, and the other two are none of your eff ucking business). In the state of Florida, most educational decisions (including teacher pay) are made at the county level. I'm thinking the brainless teachers in Broward County might only need a middle school certificate to qualify. Of course, the higher the degree, the higher the pay. And there are certain specialty positions (band director, sports coach, principal) that pay a lot more. 3. If I wanted to teach full time, I've already been offered the contract by several schools. Certifying is a certain number of steps beyond the sub process. I'm sure in blue states, ANY more on who makes it through middle school and flashes a Democrat voter ID can easily be made into a high school principal, but in Florida the standards are much higher. 4. In Florida, a LOT of sub assignments open up whenever some more on ical mandate comes down from the Beltway that yanks a teacher out of his/her classroom. Most of my sub assignments are along those lines. Many are the times when the teacher is on the same property where I'm subbing for his/her kids. A lot of teachers, on their breaks from those meetings, can monitor the Google Classroom work of their students. I may have subbed for a sick teach maybe five times in 20 years. 5. Subs are relieved of the responsibility of preparing a lesson plan, (and having to face some id yut parents) but they still have to be experienced in classroom control (especially when some brats try to test the sub.) I've actually had to TRAIN a few first year teachers, who were clearly in over their heads. EVERY experienced public school teacher will tell you that the degree doesn't train you to teach. You learn to teach the first moment you stand before a class. 6. Also, I learn from teachers, mostly by taking a few shutthefukup pills in the teachers lounge during lunch and listening. Most of those teachers do not take a break from their jobs. They don't talk about anything BUT the job. 7. You'd know all this if you hadn't dropped out of a blue state school from the third grade. Ok, Mr. Teacher, then show us that you understand the first thing about education and properly cite a primary source which supports your claim that Florida has the highest public education teacher requirements in the nation. Normally I don't take this much time responding to retards, but I have extra time, thanks to Tropical Storm Nicole. Two counties shut down schools because busses can't travel in 35 mph winds. The rest of the time I work. (Kinda like the other conservatives who pay taxes so you can collect welfare checks.) And you're getting way off the subject of the thread, which is about how Democrat policies outsourced jobs to China and how Trump's policies brought a bunch of them back. https://www.heritage.org/debt/commentary/obamas-outsourcing-jobs-foreign-policy-and-debt https://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/jobs-panel-outsourced-jobs/2012/09/06/id/451023/ https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/obama-uses-subsidies-to-outsource-american-jobs-to-china https://townhall.com/columnists/bobbeauprez/2012/08/21/obama-outsourcing-jobs--to-china-n1016550 https://freebeacon.com/politics/under-obama-companies-moving-profits-jobs-to-china/ Get someone with an education (preferably a red state education) to read this stuff to you and explain it to you. Since all of your citations are from 2012, they cannot possibly prove your assertion that Trump brought factory jobs back from China.
