Guest ProudConservative
So it' looks like Trudeau has come out with a new Cabinet. Here's my review of the cabinet names. I'm not debating the people filling the roles... Just if the title names sound appropriate. Chrystia Freeland: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs I have no problem with a deputy prime minister, but I would rather a vice prime minister... and that person to be forced to run in an election. Having someone cordinate intergovernmental affairs could be good. Anita Anand: Minister of Public Services and Procurement Sounds reasonable Navdeep Bains: Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry. Could be simplified. Carolyn Bennett: Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations It sounds aristocratic. Why not Minister of Indigenous Relations? Marie-claude Bibeau: Minister of Agriculture and Agri-food Agri-Food sounds childish. Why not the Minister Of Agriculture? Bill Blair: Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Could be shortened to the Minister of Public Safety. Emergency Preparedness would be applied under that title, so there is no need for it. Bardish Chagger: Minister Of Diversity, Inclusion and Youth This is where the Social Justice Warrior BullSh@T kicks in. Why doesn Canada need a minister of diversity? I don't think we have a problem with diversity in Canada. Canada has more diversity than any other country on earth. I wonder if this possition will include the "Diversity of Thought". Inclusion: Sounds like a Trojan Horse to bring in more immigrants without vetting them. Minister of Youth. You legalized pot, and you won't even warn the youth about the consequences to their health. Don't pretend like you care about the youth. Francois-philippe Champagne: Minister of Foreign Affairs This sounds like a perfectly suitable name. It's doesn't sound political. Jean-yves Duclos: President of the Treasury Board Good Enough Mona Fortier: Minister of Middle Class Prosperity and Associate Minister of Finance This is typical liberal snobery. It makes it sound like the middle class yuppies are better than everyone else. What about the homeless people? What about the poor people? What about rich people. Do they have any value? This just sounds like Let's tax the rich, and forget the poor. The cabinet name is completly political, and inapropriate. Marc Garneau: Minister of Transport This is what a cabinet name should be called. Karina Gould: Minister of International Development I have no problem with Canada investing in international development, as long as Canadian citizens are put first. Steven Guilbeault: Minister of Canadian Heritage This should include teaching new Canadians about Western Values. Patty Hajdu: Minister of Health This is a proper cabinet name. Ahmed Hussen: Minister of Families, Children and Social Development It's confusing and all over the map. Melanie Joly: Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages What does Economic Development have to do with Languages? Bernadette Jordan: Minister Of Fisheries, Oceans and The Canadian Coast Guard It just sounds bad. David Lametti: Minister of Justice and Attorney General Can we pick one or the other? Dominic Leblanc: President of the Queen's Privy Council For Canada It sounds aristocratic. Diane Lebouthillier: Minister of National Revenue Just shorten it to Minister of Revenue. National is already implied. Lawrence Macaulay: Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of Defence It just doesn't sound right. Catherine McKenna: Minister of Infrastructure And Communities Choose one or the other. Marco E. L. Mendicino: Minister of Immigration, Refugees And Citizenship Needs to be shorted to the minister of immigration Marc Miller, A New Entry To Cabinet: Minister of Indigenous Services This is double dipping. We already have the "Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations". Maryam Monsef: Minister Of Women and Gender Equality and Rural Economic Development Here's the worst name for a cabinet post. What about Mens rights? Nah.... we don't need to be making anymore Feminazi's in Canada. Gender Equality is using LGBT as a trojan horse for totalitarianism. How can someone who has two politically correct cabinet posstions, have any time left over to help Rural communities? Bill Morneau: Minister of Finance I hate politicall correct cabinet titles, but we need a Minister of Balanced-Budgets. Joyce Murray: Minister of Digital Government Anything to reduce the cost of government. Mary Ng: Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade Here's some common sense. Is this Trudeau's cabinet, or Harpers Cabinet? Seamus O'regan: Minister of Natural Resources This is a perfectly suitable name. Carla Qualtrough: Minister of Employment, Workforce Development And Disability Inclusion This is completly political and innapropriate. Why not the minister of labor? Pablo Rodriguez: Leader of the Government in the House of Commons Does he get to overrule Justin Trudeau Harjit Sajjan: Minister of National Defence This is a good cabinet name. It's not political. Deb Schulte: Minister of Seniors It sounds insulting. Filomena Tassi: Minister of Labour We only need one Minister of Labor. Dan Vandal: Minister of Northern Affairs It sounds good. Jonathan Wilkinson: Minister of Environment and Climate Change Trudeau is still not ready. Jim Carr Will Serve As The Prime Minister's Special Representative for the Prairies He wasn't elected to serve as a representative for the prairies. If you need a representative, go pick one of the conservatives that was elected. Edited November 21, 2019 by ProudConservative

That would be factually incorrect, "Vice" means next in command, but that is not the case, there is only one Queen's Executive, there's no such thing as a Vice-PM. The Vice in Canada is the Viceroy, a.k.a Governor General.
Moonlight Graham
Some of these cabinet titles are certainly terrible and political virtue signalling.

I am thinking your choice of user name is meant to be sarcastic since you clearly do not adhere to conservative values. The prime role of a conservative is loyalty to the Queen. It was the foundation on which Conservatism was founded. Also, if you were actually a conservative, you would know it is spelled "labour," not labor. Aside from that, you've presented an interesting analysis.

Guest ProudConservative
I think the "Minister of Middle Class Prosperity" explains why so many people hate liberals. They're Snobs!

Guest ProudConservative
The only reason Canada isn't getting worse, is because we have America as our neighbours. We have America to remind us not to go too far. Western Europe is collapsing, because they have gone to far. Canada has to remain competitive with the US, so we still have taxes that are lower than Europe.

It's a national embarrassment, people around the world laugh at Canadians for this sort of prattle.
