Basically, anybody killing Muslims is a great guy or gal here.

Where?

Suu Kyi had the option to resign and speak out rather than collaborate with genocide. That’s not a minor failing.

True, and if that didn't work she could pound her fist in the sand. "Damn you!".

What a sad post.

Spanky, ever consider you might be second-guessing her? Maybe she knows something you don't know.

What is better, to resign as you suggest, essentially hand over the reigns of power directly to the people you oppose, or keep your position, where you have a chance to do meaningful reform work that requires a long-term commitment. Answer: Stay the course.

What she could do is admit she is unable to control the military and protect the Rohingya from crimes against humanity. Then she should ask that other countries who can live up to their responsibility to protect do so.  Failing that, she should resign and other countries should proceed to living up to their responsibility anyway.   In fact I'm ashamed Canada hasn't long since declared our intention to do so - I'm not surprised just ashamed.

I mean it's not like we get overly flaky about dictators murdering or starving kids to death anymore.

We're on a new course now.

I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical,
a liberal, oh fanatical criminal

Really?  Now you're suggesting virtue should trump economics on occasion?

Nope....just mocking the present dog and pony show from Ottawa.

Well yeah, that's my point too, for a second there however it sounded like you were also mocking economics.
