The US election has taken bigotry to another level

Recommended Posts

Is there one single in the US these days that there is no unrest and crazy stuff hapening? The chance of that not even remote....

Nevermind diplomacy. For those apologisers for Trump we are on the verge of witnessing Nazism revisited in 2017. Message is loud and clear for those with a bit of grey brain cells...This time it is happening in the US of A. And No I am not referring to Godwin Law ffs. You give these people an inch and they think they can do whatever the hell they want. And you call this democracy!? F#ck that...

The "article" takes a move by a Right-Wing militia and extrapolates its actions to the South Banning Muslims. And the Trump Administration being the next Nazis.

Isn't the fact that a court has thrown out the ban of Muslim nations evidence that Trump does not, in fact have absolute power?

He might be a lame duck due to lack of credibility and substance but it doesn't negate the fact that he is still the president of the most powerful country. He is divisive and a compulsive lier that is triggering fascism and bringing it to US.

And what are you gonna do about it? He won a democratic election.

This country elected a over dramatic liar that sounds like he's on the verge of tears every time he speaks.

First you asked me that the source of this article is questionable and saud it is godwin. Now that other sources are provided you are saying that Trump is powerless for muslim ban....These are two different arguments!

Bur that's not the point. If his rating is on the verge down and tge whole judiciary is all over him surely one is entitled to question his legitimacy.

No you aren't. His term is 4 years. Congress could impeach him, but not based on what we've seen already.

The one thing that does cause me some alarm is that Trump has shown himself to be completely unable to let any slight go unanswered. That type of pettiness seems to be very un-presidential.

BUT!!! that's a long way from the rising of the Fourth Reich. Racists gonna be racist for whatever reason.

Well I disagree. It's not just about Trump it's the people he is gathering around him. Steve Banon literally dictates the terms and Trump follows them blindly.

Rise of the Vierte Reich was slowww. That's how these things happens in those who have racist genes if I can term it that way...

But the problem is, when you have this stark and often condescending response to a democratically elected president, you only embolden his base and increase divisiveness.

Appeal to member of congress to oppose anything extremist coming from the White House, appeal to his base that what he's doing is bad for the country. But telling his supporters that they're racist is how Trump got elected in the first place.

The Nordstrom thing isn't really the Rise of Nazism.

The system has already turned against him with this Muslim ban. And congress has said it could be 2018 before a replacement to Obamacare could be in place, by then congress could be in Democratic hands.

His Supreme Court nominee has come out against his Rhetoric against judges that rule against him.

There are plenty of real examples of people rising up against Trump that doesn't involve petulant protestors.

Trump has clearly violated the spirit of the emoluments clause in the US constitution.
Trump is trying to argue the letter of the law by saying that 'fair-value exchange does not constitute a gift'
The ultimate interpretation of that clause is unknown but I think it is pretty clear that congress has grounds to impeach should they be so inclined:

IMO, as long as Trump does what congress wants he will stay. If he tries to bully congress or if the dems retake control he is gone.

No it isn't tantamount to nazism and I just wanted to highlight one of many examples that makes him unstable for decision making processes.

His foreign business interests and willingness to use the presidency for personal unfair business advantages and profit is already enough for impeachment. The Russian investigation hasn't been made public yet either, but there's probably enough there already too.
