betsy Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 (edited) I happened to glance on the right side of the home page. The section says" Who's Chatting?" But it listed only Charles! Hahahaha I couldn't help but burst out laughing visualizing Charles all by his lonesome. Could Charles be chatting to himself? Why don't you just say: Who's in the chat room? ?Impact Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 The chat room works good when people come together around a topic. It worked out good during the November election because a lot of us were sitting around watching the tube at the time. Otherwise it seems like largely a hit and miss, and you can see where the emphasis is. I've always wondered if it was worthwhile to schedule a chat session on a specific topic, perhaps it could be tried just to see if it works. I have noticed certain times of day that the board is more active, perhaps Greg can look at activity charts to see when that occurs and it would be a good time to try and schedule one. There are multiple modes of communicating on this board (regular topics, status updates and chat), and then there seems to be two additional modes of messaging (private & public). Perhaps having so many different modes does not really help. Quote
kimmy Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 Charles is lonely and just wants people to join him. If you've got some time and are interested in hearing some of Charles' fascinating ideas, like how GPS units are actually guided by evil spirits or how dolphins are actually gay sharks, why not jump into the chat room and say hi? He loves company! -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

Smallc Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Charles would have to. He knows it too. Quote
