B-36D...."six turnin' and four burnin"

The only aircraft to have its own railway. :)

The whole region is already wired and plotted for termination with extreme prejudice. Japan is even more worried about it. The DPRK won't be able to fart in the ocean without somebody knowing it.

Maybe these NK subs will have Mossad-like 'accidents'. We can hope.

Or get harassed like Foxtrots were during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Building world ending death weapons is the easy part....using them is lots harder.

Russian subs look like very SAD places. Cramped and dirty. Cruel officers. Thug crews.

Here's the so-called footage of the launch...except in 2016, I'm never sure what a video is actually showing. One could add Slim Pickins to the side of the thing without much effort using today's tech. Definitely a hypergolic plume on the missile, though.

It looks like a Polaris A-1.

I toured the B-39 Foxtrot at San Diego's Maritime Museum two years ago, and you are right, very awful for the crew.

I've toured the Bowfin...and it looks more comfy inside.

The other I've been on...long ago...was the Skipjack. That was a nice machine.

One DPRK advantage is that they don't care so much about CEP accuracy, so that will save some time. They don't need fancy MIRVs either....just the basics.

I think proliferation of whatever they already have to like minded 'Murica haters is a faster, parallel track. No subs required.

Reentry shrouds seem to be the most baffling part to these countries. All of Iran's 'monkeys in space' program is shroud testing. Monkey survives...bomb survives, I guess. :P

..and Ham became a star ! Even made a movie about him....I guess dogs are "unclean".

Instrumented re-entry body final phase and splashdown is the definitive way to test guidance and fuzing.

Iran and North Korea have both managed to get a missile up to orbital velocity to release a "satellite". So they're progressing. If they can do that, putting larger payloads anywhere on the globe isn't far behind. Not to mention there's nothing stopping them from parking one in LEO for a surprise reentry with no warning time....banned by treaty among the Superpowers.

Treaty...schmeaty, these "state actors" want to teach those damn 'Muricans a lesson. A lot of what they do (including China) mimics what the Soviet Union and USA did over the past 60 years to project power and be a player in space.

But even horses and rifles did not save the Plains Indians.

Folks are definitely getting uppity when it comes to American hegemony. They forget who the friendly police officer is...not Red China that still uses students as track lube if they get uppity...

That's the real issue....no more Cold War boundaries. American "exceptionalism" is obsolete and resented, so tighten that seat belt. At least we have selfies and sex videos from movie stars.

After seeing several different videos of NK SLBM launches, I'm noticing some oddities. Especially in the plumes. Unless they've got two different types of SLBMs, I think they've been doctored a tad. So I'm not sure what the deal is anymore re: their SLBMs. What did I just watch??

Heheh.
