eyeball
Probably as comfy as they are being snuggled up with the Koch Bros. Unprotected politics is like unprotected sex you have it with everyone else your partners have had or are having it with. The money is the infection in the analogy I guess. Myself, I think it's the struggle between those who can control power with their wealth and those who can't and that conservatives are on the wrong side. bush_cheney2004
There is now a concerted media campaign to shut down the Clinton Foundation, something that should have been done years ago when Clinton became a cabinet member. The chorus is growing, and they agree with Donald Trump: But in the last 72 hours, media outlets from the left and the right – from the Huffington Post to the New York Post– seem to be in agreement with Donald Trump about one thing: The Clinton Family Foundation, once perceived by many as a shining example of a former president’s best work after leaving office, should now be shut down tout de suite. http://www.wnd.com/2016/08/media-stampede-to-shut-down-clinton-foundation/ ...No. Just no. If the Clintons are not concerned about the appearance of a conflict of interest, American voters should be. Even if Hillary and Bill disconnect themselves from the foundation, having their daughter at the helm would be an irresistible lure for donors hoping to gain favor. There are not many instances in which the Star Tribune Editorial Board will side with Donald Trump, but this is one. The closure chorus is growing louder by the day. We add our voice to it. http://www.startribune.com/it-s-past-time-to-shut-down-the-clinton-foundation/391459681/ Even the Canadian Freepers are getting in on the act: http://canadafreepress.com/comments/help-the-worlds-poor-shut-down-the-clinton-foundation# Edited August 29, 2016 by bush_cheney2004
Argus
There is now a concerted media campaign to shut down the Clinton Foundation, something that should have been done years ago when Clinton became a cabinet member. The chorus is growing, and they agree with Donald Trump: This foundation helps millions of people, and all you Trumpites have been able to show is some of the people who donated millions got to go to go to the odd speech or meet Clinton. Big deal! When we see what money is poured into right wing PACs from billionaires we don't need to see emails to know damned well Republican senators, governors and congressmen are on their bellies licking feet to get those funds and promising laws will be amended, taxes lowered, and bills written to favor special interests. bush_cheney2004
This foundation helps millions of people, and all you Trumpites ..... ...and it can continue to help millions of people, but not linked to a U.S. candidate/president. Pay for play is also a Canadian value, especially in Ontario...Americans there can still vote for Clinton.
GostHacked
Americans don't vote for anything. Never have.
Argus
...and it can continue to help millions of people, but not linked to a U.S. candidate/president. You haven't given any reason why it should. You've never shown the slightest concern at the massive amount of bribery and corruption which distorts the American political system, or at politicians of any level who are clearly being bought and paid for. What's different about this one?
bush_cheney2004
You haven't given any reason why it should. Since she is "supported" by so many Canadians and other foreign nationals who can't even vote in the election, Clinton must be the wrong choice. The same ones who flipped out over $16 glasses of orange juice. Edited August 30, 2016 by bush_cheney2004

bush_cheney2004
So you don't have an answer. You just don't like my answer....just think of it as an election variant to your recent immigration post, "I DO NOT CARE about being fair to foreigners." Argus
You just don't like my answer....just think of it as an election variant to your recent immigration post, "I DO NOT CARE about being fair to foreigners." But we're not talking about foreigners. We're talking about how you're fine with billionaires paying a fortune to Republican Senators and Congressmen and Governors to rewrite legislation to please them, but think there's something horrible about Clinton taking money for a charity and giving them lunch as a reward. Yes we are talking about foreigners...Clinton Foundation brags about their foreign contacts in "pay for play". George W. Bush helped out with HIV/AIDS in Africa too, but I don't know many Canadians worshiping him like Clinton or Obama.

You're making a big deal about people who donate to Clinton's charitable fund having lunch with his wife but you've laughed off all the information about how big pocketed businessmen buy Republican politicians. Seems a little odd to me.

It is just that Trump is viewed as vile. Canadians who "support" Clinton have already named themselves...they love to pretend they could vote in the U.S. election....last time it was Obama, now it is Clinton, especially now that Sanders is out. Those who have American citizenship will get to play, the others are just wannabes....or maybe Clinton Foundation "supporters". https://www.facebook.com/CanadiansforHillaryClinton/?hc_location=ufi https://www.thestar.com/news/world/2016/04/08/poll-in-canada-even-conservatives-would-vote-clinton-over-trump.html http://poll.forumresearch.com/post/2495/kasich-preferred-among-republican-candidates Edited August 31, 2016 by bush_cheney2004

American politicians can legally solicit and accept contributions in accordance with federal campaign finance laws, but not from foreign nationals. The truth is there isn't a Republican congressman, senator or governor in your country who wouldn't meet with a campaign donor willing to give his campaign a million bucks. And you're fine with that. But just the allegation that Clinton met with some guy who donated a million to charity has you up in arms! How patently ridiculous! Then why are the Clinton's volunteering to refuse foreign contributions if she is elected president, regardless of campaign finance laws ? Gee, maybe to keep the fanatics from accusing them of selling out the country in return for uhm, money given to charity?
