Its a choice that seemingly flies in the face of Sanders supporters. Kaine is apparently on record as supporting TPP and furthering the deregulation of Wall Street.

Given, their other choice, it would be hard to believe that Sander's supporters would sit home in November.

If even half of his "progressive" policies were to be universally implemented across all of the States, it would be a lot more than they have now... and they would probably live with the "conservative" policies that he endorses: http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2016/07/22/3801047/tim-kaine-hillary-vp/

IMO Kaine's a good fit for Clinton. As he delivered his acceptance speech, she seemed more relaxed than I've seen her in a long time. Actually, she looked like a kid with a new toy.

It's too bad the order on the tickets can't be switched to have the chosen Veeps running for POTUS. It certainly seems to me that both Pence and Kaine could handle the top job. I suppose that was one criterion required for their selection.

Your sentiments have been repeated by a number of politicians in the USA.

It would be interesting if both Trump and Hillary were physically unable to run for the top job, how the campaigns would proceed.

Or a new cigar perhaps?

Kaine came out against the TPP this weekend, which is pretty funny, because he was in favor of it on Thursday. Just like Hilary, who was in favor of it, until it turned into a major campaign issue, at which point she decided she was against it.

Clinton and Kaine will be against the TPP as long as they need to be to keep the Bernie supporters from abandoning ship. If she wins the election, she'll be for it again. "I was against it due to some grave concerns! But now those concerns have been addressed, and I am now supporting this partnership!"

Count on it!

Just like how Kaine opposes capital punishment.....but as governor oversaw 11 people getting the needle.......or how he opposes abortion, but has an A+ rating from planned parenthood........or opposed gay marriage until he didn't.....etc etc

It looks like Trump received a bump in the battleground States post convention......I'd imagine the DNC leaked emails, demonstrating the sandbagging of Sanders, who was popular among blue collar voters in key rust belt States, will also help Trump......

Can you demonstrate how Sanders was 'sandbagged'?

Trump and Sanders were both popular in states with lots of 'poorly educated' people who believed trade took away their jobs, whether it did or not.

Poorly educated people have a right to vote! Educated people can make dumb choices too. Psycho-analyze the voting intentions of people all you want. They are sick and tired of the status quo plain and simple.

I doubt Hillary could last a full term, so this guy may become President.

Why? Because of her apparent ill health?
