GOP Senators hated Trump back in 2016 too....then they loved him.

So much for that argument...see how easy that was ?

It's only the support of the US Senate that keeps Trump able to do what he does. If they bail on him, he really has no backup.

I know...."sad" is a Canadian virtue signal.    We just laugh at that sort of thing and continue watching WWF.

It's WWE. Just sayin'.

I guess we're both gawking.

Except Canadians will be allowed to go to Europe soon, if they want.

It has been over three years...when do you think they will "bail on him"  based on gawker expertise ?

Canadians of convenience go to Europe all the time.     10% of Canadians don't want to live in the country....."Sad" !

Keep the U.S. border closed until summer 2021....I want to see how this plays out for Canadian snowbirds and wannabes.

When support for him hurts their re-election chances.

OK...so not in 2018...when the GOP actually gained a Senate seat with Trump.   Obama lost seats in 2010.

Still waiting for 2020 to play out....keep gawking for the results.

Trump banned European travel to the U.S. first....but you didn't notice ?

Americans can still fly into Canada, just to say...."COVID...BOO !"

I did. The reversal of fortune is funny if it wasn't pathetic.

So it was OK for Europeans, but not Americans ?    Got it.

Sure they do.....nobody would dare to violate quarantine !

Upside:   Maybe Trudeau will stay out of the U.S. for a while...he has visited 20 times as PM.

You miss the sentiment.

It was seen that Italty, Spain, France and the rest of Europe were a European cesspool, travel was rightly banned.

Now they've gotten their act together and US is the cesspool.

Well if you're not a citizen and you can't present a feasible plan to quarantine, you'll either be denied entry or sent to a hotel.

That may be different if you play for a prop baseball or hockey team.

So Trump was right...and he did it first.

Nonsense...they can just say they are going to Alaska.    Canada's border is still like Swiss cheese.   Is Roxham Road still open...LOL !

Truth is....a closed border has far more impact on Canada than the U.S.

Why would you fly to Toronto to go to Alaska?

Tell that to all the Americans that sell product to Canada.

So what's the problem.    Trump acted before Trudeau, which only directed infected passengers to specific airports in Canada.

Just to mock Canada's border closure "rules".

The funny part is that Canadians are freer to travel to the U.S. than to cross some provinces in their own country.   Too funny !

I already have.....find new customers...Canada will squeal louder and much sooner.

And our Covid-19 numbers indicate that's the prudent move. I can go to Montreal another time.

Seems you wouldn't support selling to them either.

Sure would...China and Mexico matter more now.

Trump knows Canada's pain points, and so does China.

...and it doesn't make sense to permit travel to the U.S. but not Montreal.

Oh so you're a China and Mexico fan now.

How's that Wall coming? How is America going to punish China for Covid even though the major outbreaks came from Italy?

Just because you don't believe international travellers have to quarantine doesn't mean it's not true.

By signing trade agreements.     Trump wants to put tariffs back on Canada for quota cheating.

Close down all U.S. auto plants in Ontario through incentives, and watch Trudeau whine !

Lots of people are ignoring the quarantine rules, even in-country.    You can pretend otherwise.

You fantasize about things that aren't happening.

The domestic auto industry is dying in both countries and Steel and Aluminum tariffs only hurt Americans. They still import the products, just at a higher price.

Well our COVID number indicate, not all that many.

Not happening ?     GM Oshawa plant....shut down...before COVID.

..and over 100,000 automotive jobs lost in Ontario over the past 20 years.

Canada is the only G7 nation without a major domestically owned car make.

How many US automotive jobs were lost in the same announcement? I remember Trump being pissed.

A lot less than that....U.S. automakers are building/expanding plants in the U.S.

Canada is the most expensive place to build autos in the Americas.

As a Ford shareholder, I want them to close down the Oakville plant next.

4 US plants closed.

You're a Ford shareholder? Must be rough.

At least Canadian Automotive workers don't need Health Insurance.

Far more Canadian auto workers need jobs that are not coming back.

Trump is just continuing the trend that squeezes Canada out of the final auto assembly picture.

American jobs do not belong in Canada.

Oh, so Trump is responsible for the Oshawa GM plant closure, but not all the ones in the US. Gotcha!

Canada and Ontario are  responsible for the GM plant closure...and many others.

Trump just knows it is a big pain point to use for leverage.

85% of Canadian automotive production is exported to the United States.....like a heroin addict !

The US Supreme Court just struck down a major abortion case. The court ruled that a Louisiana law that requires doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital, severely limiting access to abortion, is unconstitutional.

The court ruled the decision 5-4, with chief justice John Roberts siding with the court’s liberal justices to strike the law down.

Dude must be sweating the Tax Return decision. Roberts may vote against him just for spite.
