What’s the alternative to the UN?

I grew up imagining there'd be a United Planets by now.

Apparently the alternative was to squander the Earth on seeing how big a gap we can produce between the powerful and the powerless.

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

It's human nature.  If there was a United Planets, they'd no doubt get along the same way the United Nations get along.

You should read the "Expanse" books.  They might be science fiction, but they accurately depict the way planetary relationships would develop.

If the books were fantasy instead of science fiction, the planets might have gotten along.

If that's the case I'll just put her into warp-drive and keep on truckin'.

Nothing personal but I got better things to do.

I certainly don't take it personally.  Human nature is not my responsibility.

You're responsible for your own little bit of it - make it count.

I already did.  I can't tell you about it or I'd have to kill you.

Vik it might be easier to scrap it all together and start again. Its got so  much rot and corruption as it is it would be a monumental task to try renovate it. Just the vermin in the building alone would not be easy to get rid of unless you blew the whole damn thing up. Those vermin are much more resistant to pesticide then rats or roaches.
