What they promised to do was double the number of elderly people immigrants can bring in, so that our health care system, which is crying out for more patients to fill the empty cobwebbed corridors of its hospitals, will have more to do.

Argus, that election promise won him votes from the immigrant community. Methinks some MPs will get an earful from hopeful applicants.

You have to understand that to him, the NDP are extreme right wingers....

No, they're more like the liberals the Liberals pretend to be during elections.

In addition to continuing to drop bombs on the ME Trudeau has decided to go ahead and sell military hardware to the Saudis.

Some care-bear he turned out to be. War-pig is more like it.

Nice hair though.

Trudeau has decided to go ahead and sell military hardware to the Saudis.

A ) He didn't negotiate that deal.

B ) He never said he was against it.

A ) He gave the impression Canada would be getting out of the business of military entanglements in the ME.

B ) He's as phony as Obama.

Smallc, you remind me of the hockey fan who cheers for whatever team is on top at any given time.

That could be. I tend to sympathize more with the party in power. That said, I never once criticized Harper for this deal. I'm not about to criticize Trudeau for the same deal (a deal he himself didn't criticize).

A classical right-winger.

He was channeling Bay Street's desires.

IME, smallc is no right-winger.

Maybe not in the ideological sense but I think anyone who makes it patently clear they tend to sympathize with the party in power is, in the classical post French revolutionary meaning of the term a right winger - more interested in or attracted to the power of a government than it's ideology.

And someone who never agrees with anything - even those things they themselves might agree with?

They're being conservative. Because they have good reason for disbelieving virtually anything a Canadian federal political party says. Why would anyone agree in the absence of confidence or trust?
