jacee Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 And Christians are obviously in danger throughout that whole area ... Prove it. Quote
Guest Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 Really? Even when violent criminals distort a religion to justify horrific acts? http://www.ethicsdaily.com/an-accurate-look-at-timothy-mcveighs-beliefs-cms-15532 It doesn't matter whether a person practices the beliefs, only matters what they 'say' they are? I think I have a problem with that reasoning. . If somebody says they are acting based on their interpretation of their religious doctrine, I see no reason to tell them they are not. Quote
jacee Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 If somebody says they are acting based on their interpretation of their religious doctrine, I see no reason to tell them they are not. That leaves it very open for violent criminals to intentionally discredit a religion. . Quote
Guest Posted December 13, 2015 Report Posted December 13, 2015 That leaves it very open for violent criminals to intentionally discredit a religion. . Yes, I suppose it does. Of course, a violent criminal could say you told them to do it too. Quote
overthere Posted December 13, 2015 Report Posted December 13, 2015 The taxes on people like me are already high so the country can pay for people like you. I don't need more people coming here who won't be contributing to the tax base. As for what I contribute, I've talked to an accountant and we meet next month. He assures me there are ways to lower the tax burden I'm currently saddled with. Move to Mexico. You can keep your citizenship, but have to give up CDN health care and drivers licence. You can buy cheap and good health care there privately, no wait times either. No capital gains tax, income tax is 15% and you can leave all invetsments here if you wish.as long as you pay tax in Mexico you don't here. Of course, you get no benefits from Canada either other than your passport. I already knew a few from Canada that did it in the last couple years, and now two more that have solidified plans since taxes are going up in AB. It is all predictable, innit? overthere Posted December 13, 2015 Report Posted December 13, 2015 Prove it. I have worked with half a dozen Iraqi Christians for a few years. They left in complete disarray and the certainty they'd be killed if they stayed, and many have been killed. The headchoppers like rape too, and often group rape.. To be fair to their delicate sensibilities, they also hate Shia Muslims. Proof that. Quote Science too hard for you? Try religion!
jacee Posted December 13, 2015 Report Posted December 13, 2015 (edited) Argus' claim was broader than Iraq. I think he'll have to address where he's referring to. The refugees in question are specifically from Syria, where it doesn't appear that Christians are specifically targeted more than others. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-22270455 .
