He is the forums spin doctor for the NDP. lol

have you edited your posts yet? Or are you sticking with your 'rush to judgement' regardless of a lack of substantiation and a 'she-said, he-said' scenario?

Not to mention that 1 person is hardly relevant to the hundreds of thousands of people trying to escape.

9 out 0f 10 are then muslim cy ,so I imagine the quote it right. Not saying there were not Christians involved. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Nice spin, waldo will be happy.

If 12% of 4,000,000 people are Christian then that's half a million Christians and you're worried about a non-random sample of 20,000 of them.

Spin it anyway you want. Anybody with 1/2 brain knows what is going on. Get off the koolaid.

this warrants a thread of it's own? Really PIK?

it's an unsubstantiated claim being made... "woman claims". And the father is denying the claim. In this "she-said, he-said"... which is all it is at this point... and even if true, does that diminish in any way the symbolism of the drowned child washed up on the beach?

There is only one way to stop the power of a picture of the body of a drowned three year old washed up on the beach: find some means...any means to assassinate the character of his father....film at 11....on Fauxnews at least!

What are you talking about. The impact of the picture of the body of the 3-year old Syrian boy is irreversible. That image alone probably swayed some countries to take action with regard to Syrian refugees. Widespread media reports say his children did not have a life jacket and his wife did not know how to swim. Not only do those facts discredit the father, those facts say that he bears the most responsibility for their deaths. So his character has already been called into question in places other than on this board.

"If true" it still doesn't take away from the fact that Canada currently has a horrible record on refugees and there are hundreds of thousands of people fleeing conflict in Syria that need our help. Help that Harper is only willing to provide kicking and screaming, while lying about our record.

Canada has an excellent record re refugees, and Harper has not lied. The MSM have lied and omitted relevant facts. Nice try though.

...never mind the fact he was in a safe place and didn't need to take his family on the voyage.....

The problem is that Harper certainly wasn't clear in his statement. Take it word for word....and I would say he lied. However, based on refugees from the UN resettlement program, Canada was 2nd in total numbers and 1st in number per capita. The issue is created as this isn't a time to be shouting out claims that require clarification. Based on that I can see why people stand by the claim that he lied.

Exactly. What boggles the mind is that he returned to his home town in Syria to bury his family, a place he was supposedly fleeing because he feared for his life.

F uck them. They are scum people who will be a drain on our resources. Plus we'll be stuck with them. If they stay on welfare. Kill Canadians. Rape Canadians. Kill gays. Behead non believers. Beat the wives. Sounds great.

imagine those brazillion refugees without life jackets! Why didn't they just go to Walmart and buy em? Member WIP called it... discrediting the father is now de rigueur, du jour!

only 9 cases approved for sponsorship... that's your "excellent record", hey! Harper lied by purposely conflating immigrant numbers with refugee numbers... Harper lied by claiming Canada led the world in per capita "taking in of refugees". No one believes you Mr. Harper!

I think it speaks a lot more to his desperation to get his family out of Syria.

The folk-devilry surrounding smugglers is just the latest shtick in the never-ending hunt for scapegoats by the usual suspect sphincters - for whom the West is the only real victim in the conflagration consuming the ME region.

over a week ago, 4 Syrians were arrested in relation to the boat capsizing and the death of 12 persons... that includes the deaths of Abdullah Kurdi's wife and 2 sons. PIK, somehow Kurdi eluded the police and prosecutors... how did he manage that? Is he a also a criminal mastermind/genius? Surely in your rush to judgement you must have a foundation that would allow you to speak to how Kurdi wasn't arrested and wasn't charged then... right?

So, now according to the left, reviling people traffickers is shtick. Poor human smugglers are scapegoats.

All I can say is good on ya. I wouldn't have the balls to think something so reprehensible, let alone post it on a public forum.

So will we be able to send the ones back who break our laws or don't want to work and stay on welfare?

But he and his family were out of Syria and had been for a good long while. What was the hurry all of a sudden to undertake such a dangerous voyage with his family in tow?

perspective? Can you share the basis for your concerns? Surely you must have more than just your imagined scenarios... surely you must have real data/statistics to provide a measure, a reference guide as to what we can expect in terms of refugees, as you say, "breaking our laws, not wanting to work, staying on welfare". Surely, "Canada_First", surely you can speak to just how serious and prevalent your raised concerns are, yes?

So you think that none of thsee refugees will break our Las and all will find work. Ok. Well call me cynical then I guess.

I want to know if we can send the ones back who break our laws or don't want to work and stay on welfare?

yet more... more of your character assassination of the father? Clearly, losing his wife and two sons is not enough for you!
