Topaz Posted September 5, 2015 Report Posted September 5, 2015 The message to the Tories is don't try to fool the public when it comes to promoting like the PM did. Harper is suppose to be by the Halifax harbor and someone caught it and said it wasn't and so an online search by many of the public found were it was and the picture was taken in Ont. So the online searchers decide to have a little fun with the PM and place him in different pictures. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/harper-halifax-shipbuilding-video-1.3214922 Quote
cybercoma Posted September 5, 2015 Report Posted September 5, 2015 You should change the title to be more about this specific issue. "Harper poses in front of wrong bridge" or "Bridgegate" or something. Quote
cybercoma Posted September 5, 2015 Report Posted September 5, 2015 It was a stupid move, just like talking about saving jobs in a factory that was slated for closure. Harper knows he doesn't have a chance in hell of winning anything in Halifax, so this was nothing more than "Meh, here! Look! I'm doing something for the Maritimes!" His numbers couldn't be worse out here and he's lost all of his incumbents in Nova Scotia except for possibly one. He's not going to waste his time even throwing a bone to these people. Quote

Topaz Posted September 5, 2015 Author Report Posted September 5, 2015 So what job will Harper take after he leaves the PMO.? I wonder if he will work or maybe part time since he won't really need the money thanks to the taxpayers. Has he already had his picture painted to be hung in the hallway of the House. They should turn it facing the wall. Quote

Mighty AC Posted September 5, 2015 Report Posted September 5, 2015 Did anybody figure out exactly which bridge was used in this latest scandal? It's even an American owned bridge! The bridge pictured in the backdrop of the video is actually the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge, a U.S.-owned suspension bridge over the St. Lawrence River that connects Ogdensburg, N.Y., to Johnstown, Ont. Johnstown is less than 100 kilometres from Ottawa. http://thechronicleherald.ca/novascotia/1309049-bridge-stand-in-harper-celebrates-halifax-shipbuilding-in-ontario Quote "Our lives begin to end the day we stay silent about the things that matter." - Martin Luther King Jr"Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities" - Voltaire
Mighty AC Posted September 5, 2015 Report Posted September 5, 2015 I thought it looked a little like the Mackinac bridge, which would have been interesting considering it has an Embridge pipeline running underneath it that is 10 years older than it's maximum age and isn't even supported in many places. I expect we will see the Great Lakes flooded with oil sometime soon.
