Again you'll need to provide some citation. Were wars fought in Africa due to racism, tribalism or religion America's fault? Is the current Syrian Civil War America's fault?

Why even bother to ask? Don't you know EVERYTHING is America's fault?

Is access to natural resources involved?

Yes...that's why Canadian mining and oil services interests can be found in the mix.

Or any western or eastern power for that matter.

If you look at the Third World now, China has a bigger footprint on natural resource extraction than the US.

With Fracking the West isn't reliant as much on importing energy.

The memes come out in full force. Couldn't you at least have tried to be the tiniest little bit original, Argus.

Throughout the world, on any given day, a man, woman, or child is likely to be displaced, tortured, killed or "disappeared", at the hands of governments or armed political groups. More often than not, the United States shares the blame.

Gee, a communist country is outdoing the USA in capitalism. And note that this communist country, pointed out as evil by sanctimonious westerners, isn't invading other countries, isn't terrorizing other countries, doesn't have military bases in dictator supported countries.

But who does, none other than the saviour of the oppressed, the shining city on a hill, the good ole us of a.

The usa, the great free trader, doesn't like trading with other countries?? Hypocritical much!

Is that a support for communism? If the argument, that wanting natural resources in poor countries causes war, then China does have blood on its hand. But I wasn't the one making the argument.

So Fracking is racist now?

You're not making an argument, Boges, you're flailing around desperately trying to salvage the tattered vestiges of your blinkered world view.

So Fracking is racist now?

More desperate flailing. This is what happens when your life is an unbroken series of memes.

No you're changing the Narrative of the thread because you can't refute the claim that war dead is on a steady decline since WW2.

Or is this peace just an illusion.

It might only be a pause, so to speak - a calm before a storm.

Conflict Drives Surge in Displaced People

Nearly 60 million people around the world had been displaced by persecution and conflict by the end of last year, a postwar high that has stymied the international community, the United Nations said on Thursday.

In its annual report, the United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees revealed a surge in the number of asylum seekers, refugees entitled to international protection and internally displaced people forced to leave their homes to avoid persecution. The 60 million figure is up from 51 million the year before and 60% higher than a decade ago.

“We are witnessing a paradigm change, an unchecked slide into an era in which the scale of [displaced people] as well as the response is now clearly dwarfing anything seen before,” U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres said.

I think these numbers will only swell as our planet's ecosystems become less productive and fall below sustainable levels of development - assuming this isn't already a factor amongst the reasons that have displaced many of the 60 million already on the move.

As waterholes get smaller animals get meaner.

I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical,
a liberal, oh fanatical criminal
