GostHacked Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 With the recent huge rise in illegal immigrants flowing across the Mexico/US border, it is creating a huge strain on many towns that are close to the border. I was going to use a CBSnews.com article, but they seem to be Youtubing the site. Horrible layout of many websites these days. Anyways. http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/10/politics/obama-texas-immigration/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson told the Senate Appropriations Committee that $3.7 billion in emergency funding requested by President Barack Obama anticipated up to 90,000 of the unaccompanied minors this fiscal year, which ends September 30, and another 145,000 in fiscal year 2015. So far, the 57,000 who crossed the Texas border in the past nine months have overwhelmed the immigration system, causing overcrowded holding facilities and a huge backlog of cases awaiting hearings that can take years to schedule. If children can get through, so can terrorists. Many towns close to the border were having these people bussed in from the over flowing detention centers that normally handle this. But the rate of them crossing seems to be increasing. "The problem here is not a major disagreement around the actions that could be helpful in dealing with the problem," he said, but whether Congress would "put the resources in place to get this done," adding: "Are folks more interested in politics, or are they more interested in solving the problem?" This is more rhetorical than anything. They are interested in nothing but politics. Or else this problem would have been taken care of decades ago. http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/immigration-border-crisis/arizona-feds-stop-shipping-immigrants-texas-n125116 Holy hell NBC has crapped on their own design as well. Simply terrible for proper navigation. Anyways.... Texas can't handle them, so they are being sent to Arizona. And met with much resistance. I guess a much bigger question is why would we accept the USA as the World Police, when they cannot even secure their own borders? Not that I want to get into that, but this thread is more about the US/Mexico border and illegal immigration. Quote
Topaz Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 I have a reason for the things going on at the US/Mexico border but I know after writing this I going to get a lot of "tinfoil" and "conspiracy" reaction. The following is not my views its from One American I heard talking about this on the radio. The main reason for this is to bury the US into huge debt, which it is now but all these kids coming over is costing local governments and the aim to bring the US/Canada/Mexico Union into being by 2020-2025. It was also stated that college and university students will have more debt added to them, so when they get out they very heavy in debt , more than now. In other words, the US will be in such a mess, they will become another Greece. Now, I know this is very hard to believe and maybe it won't happen but the guy talking was a former banker, who have friends in high places. So. lets use a open minds and watch what goes down in the short term future and watch the debt of the country. Quote
bush_cheney2004 Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 Very much "tinfoil" and "conspiracy".....exactly the reaction one should expect. Remember Polynewbie and the FEMA death trains....that never happened either. To put the latest border crisis in perspective, about 125,000 mostly Cubans entered the U.S. in 1980 by way of the so called Mariel Boatlift that ensued after an incident involving the Peruvian embassy and asylum requests. Many of the refugees were convicted criminals or other "non-desireables" in Cuba. This too will pass...... Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
Shady Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 Democrats refuse to secure the border because they know that people crossing the border will vote for them. It's all about votes. Quote
GostHacked Posted July 11, 2014 Author Report Posted July 11, 2014 Democrats refuse to secure the border because they know that people crossing the border will vote for them. It's all about votes. That's the wildest conspiracy theory yet. Non-US citizens cannot vote. And if that IS the case, then what Topaz puts forth is not so crazy. Quote
guyser Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 Democrats refuse to secure the border because they know that people crossing the border will vote for them. It's all about votes. LOL....I guess thats how Bush2 got elected twice then? Ok cool. Quote
Black Dog Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 That's the wildest conspiracy theory yet. Non-US citizens cannot vote. And if that IS the case, then what Topaz puts forth is not so crazy. But you see that's why them Demmycrats are agin' voter ID laws, so they can get 5-year-olds from Guatemala in to cast ballots for Hilary in 2016! Quote
WestCoastRunner Posted July 12, 2014 Report Posted July 12, 2014 Funny thing is, the police stand by in Guatemala and watch these folks cross the border into Mexico and nary a word is said. This is a very complex problem with no easy answers. Many of these people are being told by smugglers that the U.S. is allowing children to enter legally, and of course let's not forget that Honduras has the highest murder rate in the world and people are fleeing because of the violence. Does that mean it's ok? No, of course not. But it is a complex problem. Quote I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. Shady Posted July 12, 2014 Report Posted July 12, 2014 That's the wildest conspiracy theory yet. Non-US citizens cannot vote. And if that IS the case, then what Topaz puts forth is not so crazy. It's not any kind of conspiracy, it's just pure politics. Democrats want to continue to gain favour with the Hispanic voting block. So they have no problem with illegal immigration. They encourage it. Quote
Shady Posted July 12, 2014 Report Posted July 12, 2014 LOL....I guess thats how Bush2 got elected twice then? Ok cool. In a way, yes. Part of it was a big chunk of Latino voters that Bush was able to attract. Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted July 12, 2014 Report Posted July 12, 2014 In a way, yes. Part of it was a big chunk of Latino voters that Bush was able to attract. A big chunk of a small percentage of latino voters, and mostly men. Quote

So they have no problem with illegal immigration. They encourage it. It's not just politics, that is criminal activity putting the US at risk. Allowing illegals to come through the border is against the law. If politicians are allowing this, then, they are taking part in criminal activity. Non-citizens can't vote. Again and if they can, then the election process is severely tainted in the USA. Quote
GostHacked Posted July 12, 2014 Author Report Posted July 12, 2014 LOL....I guess thats how Bush2 got elected twice then? Ok cool. Elected once. A court determined he won the second term. Quote
Topaz Posted July 12, 2014 Report Posted July 12, 2014 You mean like the Liberals and the Conservatives do while governing only they are called immigrants instead of supporters. Quote
Shady Posted July 12, 2014 Report Posted July 12, 2014 It's not just politics, that is criminal activity putting the US at risk. Allowing illegals to come through the border is against the law. . I agree, but it's happening. Democrats are pushing for drivers licenses for illegals, as well as education funding and health care. Many politicians, on the left, don't believe in borders, or at least feel like anyone that wants to come in the country should be allowed to. Quote
dre Posted July 12, 2014 Report Posted July 12, 2014 Democrats refuse to secure the border because they know that people crossing the border will vote for them. It's all about votes. Its a cool story, but the biggest real opposition to securing the border comes from businesses, ranchers, etc. For example in Texas... Chamber of Commerce, the Farm Bureau and the conservative Rancher's Association are all opposed to the border wall. Quote I question things because I am human. dre Posted July 12, 2014 Report Posted July 12, 2014 Democrats are also killing off the elderly who vote Republican. Thanks, Obama! I know! Do they expect us to believe that its just a COINCIDENCE that elderly republican supporters are dying at much higher rates than young democratic supporters? cybercoma Posted July 12, 2014 Report Posted July 12, 2014 Its a cool story, but the biggest real opposition to securing the border comes from businesses, ranchers, etc. For example in Texas... Hit the nail on the head there. The factory farms and restaurants don't want the border sealed. Then they might actually have to pay Americans proper wages to work for them. Quote
Bryan Posted July 13, 2014 Report Posted July 13, 2014 .... the election process is severely tainted in the USA. It has been for quite some time. Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted July 13, 2014 Report Posted July 13, 2014 It has been for quite some time. Ever since "electoral college" came into being. Quote
