FutureCanadian
As an interested party, I'd like to know more than the general knowledge of parliament and such. Any good books or websites that detail such topics?
Moonlight Graham
Popular university textbook that is basically Canadian government & politics 101: https://www.nelsonbrain.com/shop/en/CA/storefront/canada?cmd=CLHeaderSearch&fieldValue=0176509461&targetURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hed.nelson.com%3A80%2Fnelsonhed%2Fcatalog.do%3Fcourseid%3DHPO13%26disciplinenumber%3D20 or http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/0176501657/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1535015942&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=0176415068&pf_rd_m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&pf_rd_r=179VSF4AE9EFWSZCW2G9 It's a bit expensive so search for it at your local library. Or take a trip to your library and find similar books.

Moonlight Graham
Read all of the bambino's post here on MLW Well, Bambino knows what he does because he too once read it somewhere, likely in a similar book the OP is looking for. bleeding heart
Bingo. It's not that I assume bambino is always right. It's that he knows more than I do on the particular subject, and so he's my MLW go-to guy. If an issue is partisan, his opinion reduces in value to that of....well, my own, I guess. cybercoma
I would wager money that bambino knows more about the structure and function of our system of governance than anyone on this forum or most any other forum. But he's not a book, so I guess the point is moot.

Of course a book would do.....but I somehow doubt the intention is to read some weighty tome the Westminister Parl System But I could be wrong.
