Please provide the link about her not getting a publicly funded funeral.

Why? What was wrong with your cartoon was its claim that Thatcher got a state funeral; it said nothing about costs or where they came from.

You have to click onto the links, then read if you want to "know" what is being said.

Surely you're able to formulate something on your own. I mean, you are personally engaged in the discussion here, not just spamming this thread with other people's work, right?

Oh man you're not much into reading are you?

The poster clearly reads in highlight "PUBLICLY FUNDED STATE FUNERAL"

And yes after reading/reviewing material on the subject,I can extrapulate an informed opinion.

I am providing the links to show others where Thatcher went wrong.(there are some facts in there)

But since you do not like the message, I am now "SPAMMING" with other people's research!

How about posting something that backs up your opinion on Thatcher?

I think she did not get a state funeral but rather a ceremonial funeral whatever that may be...

Hm. So it did. My mistake.

State funeral part's still wrong.

And yes after reading/reviewing material on the subject,I can extrapulate an informed opinion.

Actually, talking about reading difficulties: I asked you to explain what that cartoon's message was supposed to be. Was it supposed to attack Thatcher in some way? If so, how? In your own words, please.

Actually Signals provided the link showing that Thatcher got a ceremonial funeral as opposed to a state. And probably because in the UK,a state funeral must go before parliament.

Still costed the state big bucks!

Here some more links on the gift that keeps giving

She was a very divisive figure indeed. Her attitude which some people considered as admirable relentlessnessand steadfastness was seen by other people as sheer ruthlessness. However, those people who hate her have so far failed to give an alternative as to what should have been done from 1979 onwards.

Well I never hated her per se but the alternatives to globalization that I've been suggesting is total transparency and public awareness of government through sousveillance, and of course bioregionalism.

The term was coined by Allen Van Newkirk, founder of the Institute for Bioregional Research, in 1975,[4] given currency by Peter Bergand Raymond Dasmann in the early 1970s,[5] and has been advocated by writers such as Kirkpatrick Sale.[6]

The bioregionalist perspective opposes a homogeneous economy and consumer culture with its lack of stewardship towards the environment. This perspective seeks to:

  • Ensure that political boundaries match ecological boundaries.[7]
  • Highlight the unique ecology of the bioregion.
  • Encourage consumption of local foods where possible.
  • Encourage the use of local materials where possible.
  • Encourage the cultivation of native plants of the region.
  • Encourage sustainability in harmony with the bioregion

Bioregionalism is actually very libertarian but not to the sorts of people who embrace supplanting the local with the distant in terms of governance, resources, exports and imports, labour and pretty much expecting everything and everyone to just fall in line with globalization everywhere - welcome to McWorld. How do you like it so far?

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

Yup, and that proved your silly cartoon wrong in that regard.

We're still waiting, though, for you to explain what else the silly cartoon was meant to say: did it actually have some message? Seems you can't even find one in it yourself.

Yes the pic I provided show that Thatcher herself was a hypocrite!

And that she was not all that good of a PM.

Why would you think I posted it???

I guess you don't like it so then you want me to define it for you?

Still waiting for you to actually defend Thatcher with something as opposed to you always attacking what I have presented.

But you will probably come back with another attack.

I'm sure if she was such a great PM,there would be all kinds of facts out there,no?

How about you defend her instead of always trying to control the direction of this debate?

You posted the cartoon to say something for you. Now you reveal you've no clue what that cartoon was trying to say. It and you both, thus, provide nothing to defend Thatcher against. Good job.

They can't. She came in at a time when the UK was bankrupt. Her hands were tied. Labour politics had bankrupt the nation. Her measures were hard and caused people hardships yes but what was the choice? Well for many anti Thatchers they will tell you it would be to have disbanded the monarchy and the vestiges of the feudal system but I am not sure of the money lost from tourism in the absence of no monarchy would have offset any such benefits.

The anti Thatchers would have taxed business even more but the country had no businesses until she kick started the economy with the measures she did.

Fact is the status quo when she came in had failed. Harold Wilson labour politics bankrupt the nation and to compare her to Clement Atlee to me is hilarious and shows whoever did has no understanding of the difference in economic conditions during his era and hers.

The fact is as well as much as she was divisive any leader of that country would have had to have been. There was no way change could have been made that pleased everyone and to suggest her being divisive in itself is a sign of weakness or incompetence is absurd. To suggest you measure competence by political popularity in the eyes of socialists and labour supporters is hilarious.

I am no conservative but fair is fair in her time, she had to do what she did. The nation was bankkrupt.

She had balls. She was not afraid to be unpopular. Also she kicked ass against a fascist regime in Argentina something anti Thatcherites seem to forget.

Mr.Bambino is never wrong. Listen to him,
