Bonam Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Perhaps you can explain why Hamas refuses to put into practice any civil defense. Why isn't Gaza City being evacuated? Or better yet why not launch and store their rockets and have their military compounds outside the city to begin with? Reality is Hamas has less regard for the lives of Palestinians than even the most hawkish of Israelis. Quote

Where are the Gazans going to go to? Do they know where Israel is going to hit next? You think the family that got bombed knew that Israel was going to bomb them and instead they elected to stay in the house? Hudson Jones Posted November 19, 2012 Author Report Posted November 19, 2012 Have you guys ever looked at the map of Gaza and any clue what the population density is? Because if you had a clue, you wouldn't be making these preposterous comments. There are 1.5 million people cramped into 150 sq miles. Some of that land is called a buffered zone which is along the Israeli border. That is where Israel, without warning, shoots anyone who walks into it, just like they did when mentally handicapped person got shot by another heroic Israeli soldier. I hope they're not unreasonable and illogical expectations. You need to realize that there is more than just military strikes as options. Both sides, especially Israel, need to swallow their fragile egos and put aside their arrogance and come to a ceasefire. It's fair for Hamas to request a ceasefire as long Israel doesn't carry out assassinations. Kind of like what they have done in the latest escalation, where they agreed to a ceasefire they made the deal with and then assassinated the person. DogOnPorch Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 (edited) Where are the Gazans going to go to? Right here. It's good of you to apologize for Hamas. Even though the citizens of Gaza City used to walk down to this location daily to throw rocks at Jews, no doubt, it is now way too far a journey to avoid death. GostHacked Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 The IDF has deployed a fifth Iron Dome battery in the Tel Aviv region. As for today's news: November 17 10:20am - Israel’s Channel 2 reports that Hamas has rejected an Egyptian proposed ceasefire agreement. And from Times of Israel: A new Hamas video that’s being circulated warns Israelis, in Hebrew, of violence to come. In the digitized-video, set to tense music, the voice tells Israelis, “We miss the suicide bombings,” and continues in both spoken and written text in Hebrew, “We’ll see you on the buses, and at the cafes,” a reference to previous Palestinian suicide attacks that occurred at popular Israeli hangouts. The last Hamas leader who was apparently bringing cease-fire/peace proposals back to the leadership in Gaza when Israel took him out with a rocket attack on his car. Seemed like a nice way to get him out in the open for a targeted hit. Quote

GostHacked Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Perhaps you can explain why Hamas refuses to put into practice any civil defense. Why isn't Gaza City being evacuated? We evacuate cities over mere forest fires. Hamas has plenty of bunkers for their leadership, but zero shelters built for the general population. I'm sure you'll have a reasonable explanation as to why they do this. Please...defend Hamas's actions. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting on your information that shows Fascist Italy supplied Irgun in the British Mandate of Palestine. You're oddly silent about this now. Is there a reason? Keep in mind I can buy a gun...and so can you. Seems like Gaza is a small place and there are no clear unpopulated areas to fire from. Where would the people in Gaza City go? Quote
Hudson Jones Posted November 19, 2012 Author Report Posted November 19, 2012 It's almost comedic watching people who are up in arms and are saying that the Gazans are at fault for getting in the way of bombs. Gaza City is nowhere near 1.5 million and if you want to live, you'll do what it takes. The city of Leningrad managed to evacuate its civilians under fire across a frozen lake. So what you're saying is that Hamas simply doesn't care enough to do what it takes to save its own civilian's lives. What they do want is dead babies. Lots and lots of dead babies. You posted a link to where 7500 Jewish settlers lived and you expect people in Gaza city (okay, not Gaza strip), which has a population of 500,000 to go and stand there while Israel bombs their buildings. DogOnPorch Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 (edited) Basically it amounts to Hamas wanting civilian casualties. Lots of them. The more the better because that equals victory for them. More folks posting on their terrorist behalf. Works. Plus...to add...that we are not seeing ANY civilians leaving Gaza City on their own accord is also interesting. Nobody out of 500 thousand is heading to the countryside? OK...perhaps there is a good explanation. Is there? Edited November 19, 2012 by DogOnPorch Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
Hudson Jones Posted November 19, 2012 Author Report Posted November 19, 2012 (edited) You'd stay put and let the shells fall on your newborn, eh? How Hamas of you. What a silly comment to make. The problem is that you're unable to comprehend that the people in Gaza have nowhere to go. All they can do is guess where Israel is going to bomb next. People are moving away from Hamas leader homes and moving to areas where there aren't Hamas homes. That seems to not be working, as it was demonstrated by the 11 family members who were flattened by Israel's "precision" bombs. Give me a reason why I should be debating with someone who will not back away from thinking that 500,000 people can fit in a couple of square miles, where 7500 Jewish settlers used to live. Is there really a point with chatting to illogical and irrational people like you?
