NEW EI rules

Dude, I lived there.. Please.. trust me on this one.. You do not need to pay back debt.. You incure as much as possible and ride it till you die..

Love the country, love to visit every year.. Would not want to indulge my children in that lifestyle..

I wonder how they manage that with not working or only working at McD's?

Yes, I've heard that about the debt - seems to be working for them tho. You like it better here, that's great, but it sure doesn't sound like the hellhole you make it out to be.

"Oh SNAP" "Oh no you didnt"! Dude, Im Danish and I can tell you that there is a MASS exodus taking place in Denmark and for the past 10 years.. Please visit "go gaggen" and enjoy the sights and sounds of the free-loaders urinating and drinking in the streets and the Gypsies living in rentals paid for by the citizens.. The Gypies are stealling anthing not nailed down. Yes, they sure are happy! The Gypsies and bums LOVE the medical, the education, the welfare state.. To bad NOBODY can own or run a business there! Dude, Till you try it, please dont comment on my mother-land.. Im still very pissed off about the mess it has turned into. You sound like a lazy bum yourself.. I take it back, you may really love it..

I would also like to point out how straight up racist this shit is.

I would probably like it there. It has a stronger welfare state will greater income equality, yet a high standard of living. People in Copenhagen cycle every where - good stuff. It all depends what you like, but economically it doesn't sound any worse than Canada.

The ability to identify trolling is weak with this one.

No troll here asshole. I am a student and i am gonna be a high school teacher after next school year. i can symapthize with the quebec protestors and the poor because i wasnt born with a silver spoon like you. i admire the hell out of tom mulcair much like i admired the hell out of jack layton who was the only leader that i ever known that truly cared about canada and making sure every canadian had equal access to rights. dont feed your self righteous bullshit to me.

Stop saying funny things then.

i want to make a difference in kids lives.

And how do you plan to do that? Teach them rioting is good?

And how would you know that social justice is the up and coming course in Canadian schools? Did your professors tell you that you are cool as well?

my professors told me i will make a great teacher and that i will have no problem finding a job and that they will help me find a job.

Really? So you cannot get a job on your own merit? I was laughing so hard that I started crying... You better be kidding, because if you are not I really feel sorry for you.

what do you do to make a difference in this country? let me guess nothing.

A lot more then you my misguided friend.

That's a pretty big problem with the socialist mindset, do you actually believe anyone who is wealthy, or even comfortable and has conservative leanings was born with a silver spoon? That isn't fair.

Oh, and i don't like some of the new EI rules either.

I know more about the happenings in this country than you. do you have a university education?

you are a fool if you call the frustration of quebec students rioting. they are exercising theire right to protest corruption and they are protesting their right to affordable education.

as for social justice dont speak about something you know nothing about. it makes you look like a fool.

last summer i worked for 10 weeks planting trees to help the environment. i had to stop working 3 weeks early because i hurt my leg. i went to apply for ei and the lady at the office told me i didnt have enough weeks. i told her i hurt my leg and would have worked longer but i couldnt. the witch still wouldnt approve me so i ended up telling her where to go. i do my part to help the fragile environment and that is the thanks i got from the government. im still pissed off about that and this new ei stuff is even worse.

1)I highly doubt your knowledge about this country.

2)Whether I have an education or not is irrelevant. If you have one, the value of a university degree is something I question.

3)Throwing molotov cocktails is not protesting, it is a terrorist act.

4)As for social justice, avoid the subject because you know nothing about it...

5)Makes me look like a fool? Try reading your ridiculous posts and then we can talk.

We get this from the guy who claims to support human rights and protection of the environment and then turns around to swing his pom-poms for his hero China.

Hilarious.

Maybe if you weren't such a mouthpiece towards someone who was only trying to help you out she would've clued you in that what you want is Workers Compensation, not E.I.

Ummmm when you planted these saplings.... Was it the green part catching mr.sunshine or was it the roots? They told you it was "green end up" right?

Ya, you should be looking for compensation and not in ei. Your gonna notify your students of that right? The discrepancy in your post?

These new rules will hurt those in seasonal work or live in rural areas more than cities. If people have to drive a hour away, car insruance rates will go up in certain areas of Ontario beacause you are going from rural to city driving. Also, more businesses are hiring part time, to save them money. Why doesn't the government and the companies of those 250,000 job openings and re-train wokers for these jobs? Government could make this an optional program but they need the surpluses for their own use and maybe that's the problem, there no surpluses because too many are losing thier jobs.

Major difference between to many losing their jobs, and people working seasonal jobs.

People in seasonal jobs should not plan their life around EI, it should not be a financial tool where the rest of the working population is paying the unemployed segment for 4 months of the year after only 8 months of work. This should be a safety net for those people who lose their jobs, while they look for another job they get EI.
