Point is, in Canada anyway, Service sector jobs are a plenty. Not ideal work but no one can really claim there is no work out there.

Recently McDonalds had a hiring blitz across Canada.

Now these are jobs that would be good for non-breadwinners or the type of student that's bitching about their tuition in Quebec. Not a guy with a huge mortgage and an appetite for $200 dinners, but those jobs are rare for a reason.
