kimmy Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Some controversial portions of the law have been removed. The law will no longer require that information about patients and doctors be posted on the web. To me the crazier abortion laws are the ones in Kansas and Arizona that would provide legal protection to doctors who lie to patients if it's done in the interest of preventing an abortion. -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)
-TSS- Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 One could be mistaken in thinking that people who are vehemently against abortion would be all in for increased sexual education and availability of contraceptives so that things never went to the point of unwanted pregnancies. Surprisingly though the anti-abortion people are often also against those things. They really make no sense. Quote
The Right One Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 this law is good and protects the unborn from liberal baby killers. i think they need to take it a step further and get the permission of your priest or minister before having an abortion performed. also it should be mandatory for women who have had abortions to state it in their resumes. Argus Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 I have to laugh at the opposition of such a move. Some people think they should have the absolute right to privacy, but won't even afford the basic right to be alive to unborn children. The hypocrisy is staggering. Not when you consider that the idea of an 'unborn child' is a logical fallacy. Argus Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 Good point BC. Abortion itself is life threatening. Especially to the unborn baby receiving a scalpel to the back of the head. I'm a Roman Catholic, And have been since before I was born, And the one thing they say about Catholics is: They'll take you as soon as you're warm. You don't have to be a six-footer. You don't have to have a great brain. You don't have to have any clothes on. You're A Catholic the moment Dad came, Because Every sperm is sacred. Every sperm is great. If a sperm is wasted, God gets quite irate. Argus Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 So what? Rights can still be regulated. They are all time. And since when were you in favour of regulating individual rights? Argus Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 I'm not the one killing babies. They taste really good with Worcester sauce. Argus Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 Where's the assault? Someone said somewhere that the honor of a Muslim man lies between a woman's legs. It's an indication on the degree of obsessiveness Muslim men have about the 'purity' of women. Some of the Christian religious types, especially the southern US ones, have a similar desperation to protect the 'purity' of women and girls by banning sex education, banning birth control, banning abortions, pornography, nudity, short skirts, kissing, dancing, and if they could, sex outside marriage. Oh don't kid yourself. If they could, they'd outlaw sex outside of marriage the same way the Muslim world does. For women anyway. For men it's not such a big deal. Just ask Newt Gingrich. Republicans, controlled as they are, by evangelicals, have that same obsessive interest in what lays between a woman's legs as the Muslim men do. Argus Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 Exactly. I think it'll help people like her to understand better if you describe it as an abortion in the 35th trimester. The funny thing is that most of the people who are zealously opposed to abortion in the first trimester are perfectly fine with the death penalty. And if you asked them, a lot of them would gladly expand the crimes under which death was called for. What God-fearing southerner doesn't have his gun handy to shoot anyone they think is in some way threatening to steal their pickup truck or TV, for example? Argus Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 So that's a good reason to kill them? Give your head a shake (That's Canada speak, no matter how silly.) But true insofar as the religious right is concerned. Oh yeah, work your ass off to ensure that the fetus thrives and is born. But after that - "WHAT? You want me to pay welfare to some slut who had some brat out of wedlock!? Forget it! Tea party all the way!" This is all awesome, but I don't think it's authoritarian enough. You gotta lose those wimpy liberal sensibilities that are holding you back, man. They're downright....feminine...and what could be worse than that? That’s a good point, and I’d assume, in the long run, would put less strain on a publicly funded healthcare system and social safety net in general…….Surely sex-ed classes and handing out condoms and the “pill” would have less a financial (and morale) impact on society than frequently performing abortions and footing the costs of social assistance for mothers unable to support a child. Well to be quite honest there aren't that many young people like me. I have no experience with s e x.. not that I haven't had the opportunities but I prefer to do it with a girl who is worth it. Adding to that my upbringing as a J-witness has totally screwed me up .. I still haven't transitioned from jdub to not a jdub and dating in general scares the living crap out of me.I've been on a few dates but its still brand new Plus, I wouldn't be able to afford raising a baby right now. Unfortunately all young people wanna do is have sedx I only know 1 other person like me and we are best friends Quote Don't ban me bro. Oh behave, I'll behave. I'll be a good little boy.
