What we know is that EC is investigating in Guelph. I have not seen anything anywhere that says it is the Conservative Party that they are investigating. In fact, EC consistently says it does not comment on ongoing investigations. If you have evidence to the contrary, please share.

Then why is Andrew Prescott refusing to talk to EC and has hired a lawyer?

Dont take me for an idiot

i know what it means and so do you

Lawyering up is not an admission of guilt.

If he was clean in all of this he wouldnt need to hire a lawyer to advise him not to talk to EC

I would hire a lawyer if I was in his shoes. Innocent or guilty

why? EC just wanted to ask him a few questions.. if it were the RCMP I'd understand but its just EC

The protest will probably register loudest in reduced voter turnout. The pox is on everyone's house.

Sadly,I think this is true...

The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!

EC investigating could lead to jail time for someone. I'd lawyer up. There is no downside to it. He could look guilty in some eyes but he does w some already. Better safe than sorry.

People have been banned on Zoomers for critizing Harper.

That is not true at all and you know it, so please don't bring your internet drama from elsewhere over here, it's against the rules.

I highly doubt anyone would care about our emails, just watch for those black helicopters now

I think Canadians are waiting for the results of the investigations by EC and the RCMP. If significant lawbreaking is found, and Harper and the Cons try to pretend that it's 'a few bad apples' and fail to hold a public inquiry or an election ... then we'll see whether Canadians feel like protesting.

Personally, I think the opposition politicians are wrong to be calling for a public inquiry while criminal investigations are still in process, and they won't get Canadians out to protest until then.

I never trust 'protests' organized by politicians.

CTV reports hundreds showed up in Toronto for a protest. Not a bad tournout. Organizers of the remainder of the protests must be somewhat disappointed by the low numbers.

In Winnipeg, more than 300 people, including former and current NDP and Liberal MPs, gathered for an afternoon demonstration.

Approximately 100 people gathered in Osborne Village Sunday afternoon the protest their concerns about the robocalling scandal.

Gee. I wonder which report is accurate.

Don't be glum, hopefully it's one step closer to the collapse of our stupid system and the sooner we get there the sooner we can start anew.

Embrace the horror I say.

The protest was a joke, as are the people that tried to get them up and running. Canadians with a brain no better. All this fake rage, is making a mockery out of the country.

Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

I suspect they were a mixture of those who jump too easily to conclusions and have determined that the governing party committed widespread, self-serving electoral fraud, thereby putting Canada's democracy under serious threat, and those who, as Michael Bliss put it, simply cannot, no matter what, accept that the Conservatives, and not the Liberals, are legitimately in government.

One of the lead organizers of the protest in Guelph is Drew Garvie, an elected official on the Central Student Association at the University of Guelph. An individual who has ran for the Communist Party on more than one occasion.

With the help of Drew Garvie, communications and corporate affairs commissioner with the Central Student Association at the University of Guelph, and Norah Chaloner, co-chair of the Guelph chapter of the Council of Canadians, Barrett-Wood began organizing the rally less than a week before it took place.

LOL, I know, right? Stunning revelation! Just making sure people are aware of it, that's all. I was asked to come to the protest by a couple of friends, but I knew it would be entirely partisan based. I had no interest in that.

Also of note, not really relevant here, but, Garvie has led calls to action on rising tuition in Ontario, but during the latest CSA elections he endorsed referendums calling for additions to every student's tuition next year to support activist initiatives across campus.
