Shady Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 wrong. Toews was the one talking about traditional family values being the most important fabric in society then he has multiple affairs.. and child lol typical republicans What does that have to do with any of the legislation in question? What does it have to do with the pros and the cons of this particular legislation? Nothing. Quote
olpfan1 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 I cannot wait for the end of the week when Anonymous releases new damning information on the scumbag sleaze POS criminal that Vic Toews is Quote
Shady Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 I cannot wait for the end of the week when Anonymous releases new damning information on the scumbag sleaze POS criminal that Vic Toews is That's all well and good. Either can I. But answer the question? Do the pros and cons of the particular legislation in question change based on the life of Vic Toews? Quote
Jack Weber Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 (edited) This wasn't the way Rae wanted this day to unfold. No it is'nt and he's doing the backtrack two step on Power and Politcs right now... Having said that,it's still a side issue as it relates to this bill and Mr. Toews incompetence.... Edited February 27, 2012 by Jack Weber Quote The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!
Shady Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Having said that,it's still a side issue as it relates to this bill and Mr. Toews incompetence.... More like Bob Rae's incompetence. Quote
waldo Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 So the libs have been caught, well if they did this, maybe it was them doing the other. run with it PIK... see if it has any legs! See if you can truly play it off against Robocon et al. Quote
cybercoma Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 I couldn't give a crap about Vic Toews. And the focus on him is pretty juvenile and particularly irrelevant to the pros and cons of a particular piece of legislation. If Vic Toews was a model of virtue, that certainly wouldn't change the issues regarding the greater legislative debate. Stop focusing on the shiny object. The bill is garbage and Toews lost all credibility by prestening it without knowing what was in it then saying any Canadian that didn't support it was siding with pedophiles. Vic Toews also ran a political campaign based on being a model of virtue and "traditional" values. Quote
Shady Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012  run with it PIK... see if it has any legs! See if you can truly play it off against Robocon et al. That's not really the point. But it probably will have legs, because the story is more salacious. Quote
Shady Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 The bill is garbage and Toews lost all credibility by prestening it without knowing what was in it I agree. then saying any Canadian that didn't support it was siding with pedophiles. Vic Toews also ran a political campaign based on being a model of virtue and "traditional" values. How so? Is being against child pornography considered a "traditional value" now? I always just thought it was a regular one. Quote
waldo Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Stop focusing on the shiny object. ahh, but the Vic Toews shiny object was the symbolic galvanizing point, one wrapped around his concise 'child pornographers' verbiage Quote
Boges Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 That's not really the point. But it probably will have legs, because the story is more salacious. The Harper gumint is doing a happy dance today because this totally distracts away from Robocall. The NDP must be pissed. Quote

No.. but thanks to Toews for pissing off Canadians country wide he put it front and centre on every news channel in the country Had he not said what he said Vikileaks probably wouldnt have existed, and like most issues canadians wouldnt have known about the legislation.. this aint america.. we arent into politics unless its american Edited February 27, 2012 by olpfan1 Quote

Anyways, now the shiny object is Toews and Rae. Should be interesting. Quote
olpfan1 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Only to the less informed. Anyways, now the shiny object is Toews and Rae. Should be interesting. do you think canadians paid much attention to politics in this country before the infamous vic toews speech? Quote

You have evidence that Canadians all over are still pissed at the Pedophile comment. He said that weeks ago, I'm sure most people couldn't care less about that statement now. And the political blowback from those comments has made the CPC go back to the drawing board on this legislation. So you guys kind of won. Quote

WWWTT Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Gutter politics as usual from the Liberals. Apparently they still haven't learned. Haaa! The conservatives were blaming the NDP for this! And the NDP always denied being responsible! The conservatives should apologize to the NDP,but they won't because they are the gutter Queens! Score another one for the NDP! WWWTT Quote Maple Leaf Web is now worth $720.00! Down over $1,500 in less than one year! Total fail of the moderation on this site! g_bambino Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 (edited) Its gutter politics that started this because it all started when Toews accused Canadians of siding with child pornographers You don't seem terribly familiar with the concept of personal responsibility. Towes' stupid words didn't make anyone do anything. ---- I give kudos to Rae for making the admission and apologising in public. [ed.: sp] Edited February 27, 2012 by g_bambino Quote
punked Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 If Bob Rae was responsible for this why would he announce in the House of Commons a Liberal staffer was responsible, instead of say a press release? Wait I thought you said this was the NDPs fault. Typical Liberal always looking everywhere but with his own party. Quote
WWWTT Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Well, Rae is former leader of the NDP. So in a way, they were right! Doesn't matter anyways because Vic Towes is the gutter Queen. Stupid to think that the conservatives are crying fowl for the liberals telling everyone Vic is scum with specific details, only pulls them farther into the gutter. Boges Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 And Adscam was how many years a go yet you all bring it up everytime you are caught with your hands up your _ _ _ I don't. Adscam was regarding a political scandal and how Canadian taxpayer money was spent. This has to do with a certain minister saying something rather unfortunate. Had this been some hacker doing the vikileaks thing then fine he had it coming but if a Liberal staffer did it, it's pretty seedy stuff. Quote
