It a raise of 100-200 biases points in a month are a downward trend then you could say Greece is on a downward trend to. From 14 to 7.5 to 9 is still downward trend. Argus Posted November 10, 2011 Author Report Posted November 10, 2011 Northern Euros are doing just fine its the Southern Euros that aren't The Irish aren't doing too good. Neither are the English or French. Hey, what a concept! Immigrants who ALREADY speak the language! Argus Posted November 10, 2011 Author Report Posted November 10, 2011 Canada's immigration policies are supposedly "colour blind". In fact, we tend to accept/select immigrants from places where we have immigration offices. We have many in Asia, few in Africa. I reckon that Argus wants Canada to open more offices in Europe. Would that not be a logical move? WWWTT Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 This is a funny thread. If Europe is an economic basket case then why should Canada immigration strengthen their efforts to recruit immigrants from there? I would assume the belief here would be that the cream of the crop there would be more inclined to relocate in Canada durring this economical turbulance. Is the cream of the crop responsible for the problems there? If not then who is? Or even better, are the problems there even really that bad? WWWTT Quote Maple Leaf Web is now worth $720.00! August1991 Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) So we have Canadians "fleeing" to the US (including health care professionals).... BC, the US immigration system is seriously screwed up. Many foreigners immigrate to Canada as a way station on their route to the US.As an Australian once explained to me, Canada's net immigration is low compared to Australia. Who leaves Canada? Recent immigrants. Would that not be a logical move? Would it be logical to open more immigration offices in Europe? Probably.Unfortunately, our immigration system is now as dysfunctional as the US INS. Actually it would be logical to increase the staff numbers at immigration offices where people "want" to come to Canada!WWWTT By that logic, Mercedes-Benz should open showrooms in neigbourhoods where people "want" to drive a S600.
