No. Was she afraid for the cameras that surround him every press conference? The point is that it is even more ridiculous that he invokes his childs fake response to garner sympathy. The ball is in his court, but he needs time to doctor them. Ahh of course, he'll have the know how to do that. However, herein lies the problem, even if releasing the undoctored recordings clears Ford, there are those who will postulate that they were doctored and never believe them. He lied about many things having to do with the encounter: his daughter wasn't there, it wasn't dark outside, he wasn't attacked by them, they didn't run at him, they started off his property, they left his property after he went back in his house. I mean, he hasn't told the truth at all in this encounter. That's not even to mention the countless other times this dirtbag has been caught lying, such as bertaing that poor couple when he got wasted and went to a Leafs game, or saying that he never called that kids author a bitch, even though he said, "I can think of a word that starts with B to describe her," or saying he never gave that mother and her daughter the finger when she told him to get off his cellphone while driving.Oh... but we should take his word on this one. Mayor Ford has a HUGE credibility factor including a history of misleading and outright lies, Drunkeness, Drug Use and Profanity unbecoming of a mayor let alone to be used in front of anyones children. I have little reason to believe anything Mayor Ford says, and that includes his allegations that his daughter was involved, regardless of the many ways he has tailor his answer to relate to the evidence before him. Mayor Ford appears hung over, and his behaviour on 911 does not help this observation. His behaviour and take on the situation stretches anyones imagination especially when shown the video. Instead of buiding a strong reputation, Mayor Rob Ford has reinforced his persona as the laughing stock of Toronto. There is nothing the spin doctors can do to fix Rob Fords persona. Toronto has a Mayor who might actually get the people interested in creating Recall Legislation. That might not be a bad thing. Quote

Besides, I don't live in Toronto, so his political leanings don't affect me anyway. My main interest in this is not Rob Ford. If Ford is a problem for Toronto that is for Torontonians to resolve. It is the CBC's role in the whole affair that retains my attention because of the $1.1 billion it receives annually from we taxpayers. The CBC staged a comedy stunt that went sideways. The CBC terms such stunts as an "ambush" on politicians. It is widely agreed the stunt should not have been staged at a politician's home. Rather than leave well enough alone, the CBC further involved itself by taking up the cause of 911 dispatchers who have a beef with Ford's 911 call. Now we have the CBC veering away from an attempt at comedy to spotlighing the character of the politician they unsuccessfully "ambushed". Why did the CBC decide to pursue the matter in cooperation with some aggrieved 911 dispatcher(s)? 911 dispatchers have their own complaint and grievance processes to decide such matters. It is not within the CBC's mandate to implicate itself in the grievances of city workers, regardless if any city workers provide it with juicy information. One explanation may be that the CBC's intent was to deflect attention away from their failed attempt at comedy. Add to that there's a good chance the CBC does not like Ford's politics and knowing Ford's popularity is declining, it presented an occasion to bash a high profile Conservative. It is about a mayor calling 9-1-1 twice when it wasn't an emergency. He lied when he gave his account to the press. Not dark. No child. This is about the seriously bad judgement of a politician, bordering on criminal, if not at the very least unethical. All the talk about the cbc, Mary Walsh, etc. is just an attempt to distract. The man is a scumbag. No doubts about it. Quote
