Why are people here so afraid of a Christian Nation?

I fail to understand why you insist on proving you are an idiot, you accomplished that around a year ago.

But since you seem to enjoying this, explain why canada, in 1932 was so ideal. Especially the camaraderie along the soup lines..

I would rather struggle and be poor where more people where Christian and there were less non Christian immigrants. people were much more proud to be Canadian. People don't care about Canada anymore, in fact they hate Canada.

What you are spewing makes me ashamed that I live in the same country as you do. Almost sounds like you are invoking Bush Jr. here.

They hate us because we are free. Then why do they immigrate here?

Always generalizations and never specifics and never present facts.

Odd. Personally, I love Canada, and yet I believe that secularism is the best for this country. I am against a Pat Robertson-style government in Canada. Freedom of religion does not mean "only if you are a hypocritical, Bible thumping, hateful Christian".

Then you might have a peek at the The Constitution Act, 1867, with respect to preferential treatment of Catholic and Protestant schools for several provinces. It remains part of Canada's Constitution to this day. I will let Pat Robertson know...he would be pleased.

No, Pat would have a fit about the Catholics. He hates them.

I don't understand why people are so afraid of Canada becoming a traditional Christian Nation.

We aren't because we already are.

Charter of Rights and Freedoms (as already pointed out by B-C)

Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law:

What you are failing to miss is the charitable ethic of the better Christians, which is generally displayed here, in our already 'traditional' Christian nation.

If you have Christian principles that somehow usurp faith, hope and charity as the prevalent principles among the Canadian people then I would argue that what you are proposing isn't much Christian at all.

Probably radical.

Scotty raised an important question. What about porn? Is that still allowed in The Pope's New Canada?

What about alcohol?

Will I still be allowed to work outside the home? Will I need to marry and start having offspring by a certain age?

It would ban anything it disagreed with, just like the Taliban in Afghanistan.

But porn is big business! It's highly profitable, and something the third-world can't take away from us because they don't have any white people!

Also, it makes people happy!

Well, there'll be wine anyway.

You can work otside the home, but only if your man says you can, and your boss will have a ruler to measure your skirt length - oh yes, you will be wearing a skirt! No more jeans for you!

Birth control, of course, will be illegal.

The real threat here is fundamentalist Islam. No sane person in the west wants to live under those restrictions imposed by places like Saudi Arabia. I deem the whole system there as Radical Islam. The kill people just for being homosexual yet the left here viciously defend their regime against people like me. I don't get it.

Glad you are not a leader of anykind. You support a different kind of fascism for Canada, it's a different form of fascism, but fascism none the less.

That's right, you do get it. Nobody here has defended radical Islam or saudi Arabia. Nobody here has said they'd want to leave there. Only one person here has promoted theocracy for Canada, and that person is you.

Don't worry, your attempts at demonizing each and every Muslim in Canada and any person who does not share your bigotry will not work. And feel free to make a fool of yourself anytime you want by claiming that I have just defendent ANY form of radicalism.
