When an election produces a leader like Obama for example - he decries the whole system as corrupt. So what does a civilization do when it loaths sodomy or group imposition of will? A society could not function without a certain level of group coercion so what form should this cocercion take and how involved should it be in our individual lives? Its easy to say what it should not take-but what form should it take? Its easy for Egyptians to say NO NOT Mubarak but those same people have no clue what to replace it with at this point. You know the expression..its easy to know what we don't want but difficult to know what we do want. Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Turkey, Sudan,Libya,Jordan still cling to their hybrid Muslim religious-and totalitarian states. When I was a teen I knew this Palestinian family, really nice folks, not political at all. I used to hang out with their son, who was a year younger. His sisters were mega-hot. I mean, model level hot. Anyways... The Mom was a really nice Mom and you would feed me from time to time. One of my favourites was this pizza like thing using pita as the crust topped with a spicey ground meat topping and some olives and cheese. Let me tell you, this was one of the best things I have ever eaten! Now if we are taken over by Muslims - especially the Palestinian Socialist Arab kind, and they force Dominoes to make this Palestinian pizza thing I am all for it! I mean, the Hawaiian pizza should be outlawed anyways right? I think Sharia will outlaw Hawaiian pizza and that's alright with me. The other thing: have you ever had Islamofacist Socialist Arab coffee? They make their coffee way different than we do. Slow cooked, kind of like how we might make hot chocolate. Well, a little cup of this stuff and the lights are on the engines are revved. So if the Islamofacist Arab Socialist Boot crushes Tim Hortons into making this type of coffee, I can go for that. And make them lower the price too. I bet Sharia law has some clause that requires equitable coffee pricing. Let's hope! So in conclusion, as long as we can still play hockey, who cares what law or religion or political party is going on? Seriously, for 8 months of the year most people in Canada are soma'd right out on hockey - and they aren't, they others who are. Except for the beer. We would want to keep drinking beer. There would also be only the voice of this mythical Francoesque leader,because no democracy in this country would be allowed ever again...Fascist's don't like anyone questioning them... This,of course,belies the fact that in your post you speak of Europe and Canada having these mythical Fascist leaders.In fact,Europe has had them before (Hitler,Mussolini,Franco,Salazar)... Guess what Mr.Falange??? They were either completely and totally defeated,or were rejected internally and by the outside world...
