Kids today...if it isn't on YouTube....it never happened.

You were talking about probability though. The fact is these changes are being made to a system that already had an extremely good safety record. Sure you can point out things like 911 or Lockerby but youre talking about 1 in 10 million flights probably. And you can dramatically reduce the risk of injury by installing cockpit doors and schooling pilots on when they can and cant be opened. Then you for the most part eliminate the change of a plane being used as a guided missile.

Will some planes be brought down by terrorist attacks? Maybe, but thats ok. It sucks when it happens but a certain ammount of risk is inherent in the activity and its not realistic to completely mitigate that risk.

As for the scanners... I dont really worry about them to much. But if I was an American Id be asking when the multi trillion dollar 911 security spending spree is going to end...

I just left another forum for good, because it was full of hateful anti-American post by sanctimonious pseudo-patriot Canadians who were so full of themselves that they thought that the only way to be a good Canadian is to be Yankee-basher. Most of them not only admitted their ignorance about the United States, but were actually proud of declaring that they have not been in there since they were kids.

Sad, isn't it, when one has to prove, or claim to be a patriot by showing hate and condescension towards the citizen of another country?

Be prepared to suffer attacks by Muslim sympathizers, atheists, liberals and Obama-worshippers. (Pardon the redundancy).

And of course, super-patriot "Canadians" who would gladly tell an immigrant like myself to "go back to the country you came from", and call anyone who disagrees with them racists, bigots, rednecks and uneducated boors.

But you probably know that already.

And DON'T ever use words like the ones that are surely to be used against you, unless you want to be banned at the slightest "indiscretion" deemed offensive by the mimosa-like moderators.

Be prepared to suffer attacks by Muslim sympathizers,

The fact that you use a term like "Muslim sympathizers" speaks volumes. And you are totally unaware! Remarkable.

atheists,

There's nothing wrong with atheists.

liberals

Liberals are alright!

and Obama-worshippers.

These would be foolish people indeed.

As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand.

Yes...but then again...I always have fun. Otherwise, why do it?

Clearly its the lack of anything ELSE to do.
