Shady Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Never said it was. I didn't maintain offshore US military bases were US soil. You did. Well, if you mean by US soil, that everyone on an American military base is entitled to American constitutional rights, you're wrong. Completely and utterly wrong. Heck, even US servicemen and service women don't have say, freedom of speech, etc. Now, if you're talking about a US military base pertaining to McCain's citizenship status, it comes down to the US citizenship status of the parents. You keep boucing around between issues, apparently for the purpose of whichever one suits you best at that moment in time. Make up your mind son. Quote
Shady Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Do you even pay attention to what you type? Yes I do. But he's conflating two different issues. McCain's citizenship status versus enemy combatants so-called American constitutional rights. Quote

I'm not bouncing around, there has never been an issue of where Obama was born, just the citizenship of his parents. I've never said anything about McCain's citizenship status. Both his parents were US citizens so that makes him one to. The fact he was born in Panama means nothing. The Canal Zone was never US territory. The fact there was a US military base there at the time is irrelevant to his citizenship. Quote "Never trust a man who has not a single redeeming vice". WSC
scribblet Posted November 29, 2010 Author Report Posted November 29, 2010 I don't think it's racist, they just don't want a socialist President, heck look where it's got them so far LOL If there is any technicality that deems Obama not to be eligible for the Presidency, they will bury it, there is no way they can afford what will happen. If he were declared ineligible can you imagine the riots ... I don't want to think about it. Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
Shady Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Isn't this just a last-breath attempt by the racist republicans who started the rumour about Obama's origins in the first place? Actually, it was the racist Democrats from the Hillary campaign that first started the rumors. And now the rumors continue to be given life by the media that's constantly asking the question. Quote

The only way you could describe Obama as a "socialist president" would be if you didnt even have a basic understand of what that word means. Obama is just another in a long line of corporate hacks. Giving trillions of tax payer dollars to government lobbying private industries is NOT socialism. Forcing people to patronize private businesses is NOT socialism. Filling the government with lobbiests for private industry is NOT socialism. Quote I question things because I am human. And call no one my father who's no closer than a stranger
Bitsy Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Sorry to disappoint but the court rejected the case without comment. http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/11/29/scotus.birther.appeal/ Quote
