GostHacked Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 So I've been making note of this for some time, however, Yemen will be the next battleground for this War on Terror as the battle continues with Al-Queda. Yemen been a 'problem' for some time. And I was expecting some kind of attack coming from that country. The only thing I am not sure about is when. Place your bets. Quote

GostHacked Posted November 2, 2010 Author Report Posted November 2, 2010 Somalia's pretty big on the list as well. With all the pirate activity from Somalia, I agree, that would be high on the list as well. Quote

ToadBrother Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 With all the pirate activity from Somalia, I agree, that would be high on the list as well. Yemen and Somalia are next door neighbors. Both have very militant Islamist groups linked to al Qaeda operating openly within their bodies. The Yemeni government is trying, but simply doesn't have the resources. Somali doesn't have a government. In both cases if there's any real will to battle terrorism, the West is going to have to get its hands dirty. But of course, all the weak-kneed will talk about the nasty things that the Canadians and Americans did in Somalia and talk about not interfering in a sovereign peoples' right to live in absolute anarchy. I say we put a goddamned navy in the of the Gulf of Aden, made up of whoever wants to contribute, patrol the waters, blow pirates to the stratosphere, and make sure that anything larger than a seagull leaving the Somali coast be boarded and inspected. As to Yemen, they need a lot more help than they are getting, though I give them credit for at least trying not to be toppled like Somalia was. Quote

GostHacked Posted November 6, 2010 Author Report Posted November 6, 2010 Ya know the guy behind the Yemen bombings was suspected to be dead in an air strike in Yemen last year? http://www.foxnews.com/world/2009/12/24/imam-linked-ft-hood-rampage-believed-al-qaeda-killed-airstrike/ He was also tied to two of the 9/11 bombers, but had dinner at the Pentagon a few months after the 9/11 attacks. GostHacked Posted November 9, 2010 Author Report Posted November 9, 2010 http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/11/09/knew-cargo-planes-vulnerable-years/ WASHINGTON -- Despite knowing for decades that terrorists could sneak bombs onto planes, the U.S. government failed to close obvious security gaps amid pressure from shipping companies fearful tighter controls would cost too much and delay deliveries.
