Michael Hardner Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 How many live baby eaters were discovered by census? Your question appears to reveal a guilty boastfulness... Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! Michael Hardner
waldo Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 ... from the journal Nature, no less! Save the census - The Canadian government should rethink its decision to change the way census data are collected. WHY? It's no one's business what I buy, eat or do. Ahahahahaahaha. Palm meet face. oh snap! ... a genuine rib tickler... are Conservative supporters always this accommodating? Saipan - keep em coming! Quote
Saipan Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Your question appears to reveal a guilty boastfulness... Pretty scientific, I have to admit. Quote
DrGreenthumb Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 WHY? It's no one's business what I buy, eat or do. So why do you support an authoritarian douchebag Prime Minister who thinks it IS his business what I buy smoke or grow? How does your right to have guns have any more validity than my right to have a plant? Quote
dre Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Qatar isn't exactly nextdoor, isn't it? If a newspaper such as Al Jazeera is welcomed with open arms....then there shouldn't be any questions raised at all about Fox! At all! Anyway, I'd like the right-wing to have a voice! Let those who don't like it switch to other channels. There are a lot of other choices. After all this is a democratic country....! The problem with Fox isnt that they have right wing content its that they are political machine. They directly endorse and fund candidates, organize political rallies, and essentially serve as the propoganda wing of a specific political party. Id rather not have news outlets in Canada that do that stuff. Quote I question things because I am human. And call no one my father who's no closer than a stranger
Saipan Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Id rather not have news outlets in Canada that do that stuff. Same here, but how do we get rid of CBC? Starve it of cash? Quote
Evening Star Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Come on, when has the CBC done these things?: endorse and fund candidates, organize political rallies, and essentially serve as the propoganda wing of a specific political party Quote
nicky10013 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Come on, when has the CBC done these things?: It never has. However, they've repeated to themselves so many times that the CBC is an arm of the Liberal Party that they apparently actually believe their own ramblings. Quote
Saipan Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 It never has. However, they've repeated to themselves so many times that the CBC is an arm of the Liberal Party that they apparently actually believe their own ramblings. And all liberals disagree. Which explains ALL and CLEAR as day. Why not support National Post TV by taxpayer money?????? Quote
nicky10013 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 And all liberals disagree. Which explains ALL and CLEAR as day. Why not support National Post TV by taxpayer money?????? Well, first of all, this makes 0 sense. However, I'll try and address it anyway. The National Post's editorial section is a right-wing cheering section where they denegrate everything Liberal and promote everything conservative, and if they don't, even their own supporters call it a Liberal rag (read my earlier post regarding the issue). Where are those editorialists for the Liberals on the CBC? Can you name names of people that appear regularly and are easily Liberals, besides, you know, Liberal MPs which always appear next to CPC MPs? Quote

You may think you have addressed it, but you did with an equal amount of nonsense. Quote RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us
Saipan Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 The National Post's editorial section is a right-wing cheering section The Toronto Star's editorial section is a left-wing cheering section Where are those editorialists for the Liberals on the CBC? Where are those editorialists of consewrvative TV? Where is conservative TV to even begin with? Quote
nicky10013 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 The Toronto Star's editorial section is a left-wing cheering section Yeah, but so is the NP's...where's the problem? Furthermore, I asked about the CBC. How about you actually, you know...answer the question. Where are those editorialists of consewrvative TV?Where is conservative TV to even begin with? Mike Duffy. He was so good, Harper appointed him to the senate. Quote
Saipan Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Yeah, but so is the NP's...where's the problem? Furthermore, I asked about the CBC. How about you actually, you know...answer the question. Where is national conservative TV to even begin with? Never mind supported by taxpayers - whether they like it or not. Quote
nicky10013 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Where is national conservative TV to even begin with? Never mind supported by taxpayers - whether they like it or not. This presupposes there's a national liberal television network. I challenge that notion. Provide me evidence to the contrary and I'll cede the point. Quote
Saipan Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 This presupposes there's a national liberal television network. I challenge that notion. Provide me evidence to the contrary and I'll cede the point. Yes, CBC. Liberals were disagree with me, conservatives agree. Clear as day. Quote
GostHacked Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 My opinion is that news channels should be news channels and hard questions need to be asked to everyone, which I think stations like CNN and yes, even the CBC does. It's also my opinion that there's a victim mentality in the right wing camp. Everything is some kind of liberal conspiracy despite the fact that Conservatives own and operate most media both in the US and Canada and treat Conservatives fairly well. It seems to me that if anyone anywhere questions Conservatism in the slightest, well, they're a liberal and are biased. I've found harder hitting questions from the BBC in talking to Canadian or US officials and even their own. They ask the hard questions and almost treat the guest as a hostile witness of some kind. I agree, leave the emotions and conjecture out of the news. Give me the raw information without spin and without bias. This is what news used to be like 20-30 years ago. It simply is NOT that way now. We get infotainment, which is neither informative, or entertaining. Quote
nicky10013 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Yes, CBC. Liberals were disagree with me, conservatives agree. Clear as day. Like I said, provide some evidence. Quote

I go to the BBC for international news, I generally stick to the CBC for local...maybe CTV depending on the program. Quote
Saipan Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Yeah, the BBC sets the bar. I go to the BBC for international news, I generally stick to the CBC for local...maybe CTV depending on the program. That's nice. Now we need to balance the liberal media. Quote
wyly Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Yeah, the BBC sets the bar. nicky10013 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Yes. Liberals were disagree with me, conservatives agree. Clear evidence. No, not quite. Remember how you asked for me to name a conservative journalist on TV and I did? How about you name a Liberal on the CBC? Saying Liberals disagree with you isn't proof. Quote
bloodyminded Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Where is national conservative TV to even begin with? Never mind supported by taxpayers - whether they like it or not.
