Republicans show us how they would spend money

Recommended Posts

I know they usually wait to get into power do this kind of stuff but not this time. Hey look I will even use a right wing link to show Shady this isn't a huffpo story.

Once on the ground, FEC filings suggest, Steele travels in style. A February RNC trip to California, for example, included a $9,099 stop at the Beverly Hills Hotel, $6,596 dropped at the nearby Four Seasons, and $1,620.71 spent [update: the amount is actually $1,946.25] at Voyeur West Hollywood, a bondage-themed nightclub featuring topless women dancers imitating lesbian sex.

Sorry punked, but you're behind on the news cycle.

The story willfully and erroneously suggests that the expenditure in question was one belonging to the chairman. This was a reimbursement made to a non-committee staffer. The chairman was never at the location in question, he had no knowledge of the expenditure, nor does he find the use of committee funds at such a location at all acceptable. Good reporting would make that distinction crystal clear. The committee has requested that the monies be returned to the committee and that the story be corrected so that it is accurate

However, even if the story was true. It's not tax money being spent. It's privately donated money. If you wanna look at an example of the egregious spending of tax dollars, look no further than the Democrats and Obamacare!

GOP Amendment: No Viagra for Sex Offenders

"This amendment would enact recommendations from the Government Accountability Office to stop fraudulent payments for prescription drugs prescribed by dead providers or, to dead patients. This amendment also prohibits coverage of Viagra and other ED medications to convicted child molesters, rapists, and sex offenders, and prohibits coverage of abortion drugs."

The Dems voted no!!! They voted against banning boner medication for child molesters and other convicted sex offenders!

Good luck in November guys.

P.S. punked, I salute you on your source. For once you did a good job.

Shady we both know your "they vote no" is a bunch of BS. They voted to have the bill passed an not play the game of ping pong back and fourth between the House and the Senate. This has already been in the news cycle and my bet is they pass the no Viagra for sex offenders before the next election just to call republicans out on it.

Like it or not Shady Republicans spent their money at a Bondage club showing us all were they hold their meetings, and making us assume that when in government we will see these same sorts of things.

RNC Brass wants Steel gone. Hmmmmmm seems like a little much for an "erroneous story" doesn't Shady.

Ohhhh No this Just in Sean Hanity's Charity Big Scam as well to swindle people out of money. This must be fiscal responsibility they keep yapping about.

Funny how the GOP can simultaneously say they will investigate the expenditures and get to the bottom of it, but can already categorically state that Steele didn't go to the club.

Even though it shows up on his expense account.

Uh huh.

It's true that it's not taxpayers' money. It's money that people donated, in good faith, to the party. This should encourage them to donate more, because we all enjoy a little BDSM.

That's not true. It wasn't tax money, it was money privately donated by people who choose to do so. It's not taxes that are confiscated from you without choice.

However, the Dems covering sexual offenders and molestors for boner medication is definitely paid for through tax money. I guess we know their priorities.

Now reread the post that you quoted, and then read what you say in response. Note how your reading comprehension has become so challenged you are making my point for me without realizing it.

My point being that donors to the Republican party might wonder why they're donating money towards someone's BDSM fetish.

That isn't what the legislation or amendment said. If you are going to lie at least do it right. It was Limiting PRIVATE insurance coverage to those medications, for those who were sexual offenders. Although the Dems asked the republicans too open it up kicking anyone who has been convicted of paying for sex but they wouldn't Probably because too many of their own would be kicked off government insurance. That is Shady's party

So what? And what if a sexual offender qualifies for a health insurance subsidy? Should they have viagra and other types of boner medication covered? By tax dollars? Your party seems to think so.

I can hardly wait for the television ads in the fall. "Dems voted for erectile dysfunction drug coverage for sexual offenders and molestors." Good luck in November!

I think the most curious thing about the Steele BDSM story is how the expense got submitted and made public. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing is because of efforts within the party to force Steele out.

It was in a FEC filing which are all available to the public.

I've been watching Republicans seemingly willing to destroy the country to make Obama look bad. I wouldn't be surprised if the same sort would be willing to hurt the party to get rid of Steele.

There's something about both Obama and Steele that just gets under some Republicans' skin.

Sure....making Bush "look bad" was/is still popular! Senator Reid ..."The war is lost".

There's something about both Obama and Steele that just gets under some Republicans' skin.

.....just like Hillary got under some Democrats "skin".

Yep parties do Business I get that however Republicans spend in a wasteful way and they spend it faster then they take it in. UNLIKE THE DEMS. Don't believe me here are the numbers. Sorry Shady Republicans have shown us they manage their own house like they manage the country they spend like drunken sailors on things the people giving them the money don't want them to.

Sorry punked, but the trillions Obama has signed away speak a little louder than what some irresponsible politicians are doing. Spending like a drunken sailor is something that Obama has the monopoly on I'm afraid.

Most of those trillions come from Bush. You forget Bush gets to Share half the the 2009 budget as he made most of the commitments.
