Topaz Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 The eyes says he's not keeping enough sleep, he's worried about things, I wonder if he smokes? I do believe he does take medication and maybe that is making him look pale under the eyes. Stress will do a lot of harm to ones body. Quote
capricorn Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 The eyes says he's not keeping enough sleep, he's worried about things, I read he has allergies. Apparently, he doesn't wear rings because he is allergic to metals. Of course as PM, I'm sure he worries about things. Who knows if that worrying triggers his allergies. Many people with allergies will occasionally have redness around and in the eyes. I have multiple allergies, one being allergy to household dust and when I do housework I sometimes get redness around the eyes or break out in hives. It's quite annoying. I wonder if he smokes? No, he doesn't. I do believe he does take medication and maybe that is making him look pale under the eyes. I would expect he does take medication for his allergies, as millions of Canadians do. Stress will do a lot of harm to ones body. No doubt about that. Quote "We always want the best man to win an election. Unfortunately, he never runs." Will Rogers
bill_barilko Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 I would expect he does take medication for his allergies, as millions of Canadians do. Since there are only 33 million people here and few suffer from allergies I very much doubt that 'millions' of people are popping pills. In the pic Harper does look like something the cat dragged in but then again he always has. Quote
Shady Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Just another "Harper burned his toast this morning" thread. I also heard that he left his soup too long in the microwave. Perhaps you should make a thread of it. Quote

Keepitsimple Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Probably just bad timing for the picture. I think the poor guy must have had a couple of bad nights where he didn't sleep. He's had a lot on his plate with all the cabinet changes and Haiti. Harper is your classic internalizer. He manages to stay calm outwardly but inside, he churns. He's very much a family man - quiet and private....and I'm sure the suffering in Haiti has really affected him personally more than most people would think. Quote Back to Basics

Shakeyhands Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Just imagine the pressure the man is under, it's no wonder that he may looked a little burned out, hopefully he can get some rest soon. Those eyes just tell me how tired he is, I actually feel for him, which really surprises me. Hopefully he'll be be back to his old self soon! Better, Healthier Picture This picture (no laughing) show's him with a bit more weight on him, and he looks much healthier. Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche

kimmy Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 He does look like he's suffering allergies in that photo, doesn't he. As a fellow cat enthusiast, I can relate. The lefties used to bristle with rage at unkind remarks about Jean Chretien's appearance and comparisons of Jack Layton to the Video Professor. But now attacking politicians based on their personal appearance is ok. -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

William Ashley Posted January 23, 2010 Author Report Posted January 23, 2010 (edited) He's not on vacation. What do you call a two month break from his parliamentary duties as an MP. Here is a legal example which would exist as a precedent in Canada due to Canadian common law extending to UK common law and case rulings. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1135424/Old-soldier-takes-MP-Ann-Keen-court-lazy.html Maybe all I need to do is start sueing my old MP's for breach of duty of care for non representation. Also Harper's gross negligence to parliamentary representation for constiuents is a gross form of negligence and derliction of duty not only by his role as PM but of his own residents by neglecting his duties as a member of parliament, MP. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duty_of_care Edited January 23, 2010 by William Ashley Quote I was here.

Yeah I heard he just added another 10 million in aid to bring it up to 60 million dollars, (and more than 60 million private dollars from Canadians. Which outdoes america's first donation of 100 million dollars... that is atleast 120 million dollars from the canadian economy or 1/1000th of the Canadian gross domestic product. and the 60 million in government funds (plus operational costs) works out to 1/3666th of annual federal revenue (on haiti alone) or 1 in every 3666 tax dollars from this years revenue went to haiti. 1 in every 390 Canadians is Haitian. I'm going to make it a point to see what my MP is doing in the coming weeks. I'll drop by the office to see if he is there, and if he isn't I'll make an honest attempt to find out what work he is doing in the riding. My guess though is that he'll be sitting at his home.
