Even if we know Kanye has produced lyrics blathering about the superiority of the black race and how "da black man is god" and similar pish posh... Did it occur to anybody that such an undignified outburst was the result of Kanye being enraged that a white person won above a black? Again invert the races, imagine a country signer with a past of singing racially contraversial songs went out and snatched an award from a black performer to say that a white one deserved it better? Would the media would be so conspicuously silent about the racial angle then! ... the double standard persists i guess... Beyonce Knowles, who has a whole shed full of those awards, won another later in the show, and rather than make an acceptance speech of her own, remarked that winning her first at age 17 was very special for her, and invited Swift on stage so that she could have her moment. While some celebrities are selfish idiots, there are some who aren't. Williams, unfortunate and I think she will regret it. Lousy call but at least she had enough class to congratulate Clijsters. One does not make it to the top of the heap in athletics without an intense drive to win, and more often than not a healthy dose of ego to go along with it. Williams' got the better of her. What Clijsters accomplished bears special mention, however: she quits tennis for 2 years, has a baby, and in her first tournament back after her hiatus, she beats both Williams sisters, plus knocks off a top-ranked opponent in the final, on the way to winning the US Open. If you wrote a script like that for a movie, they'd reject it as being unrealistic. Based on his track record, I wouldn't be surprised if West's opinion is that Beyonce was robbed of the award because of racism. I also won't be surprised if he at some point plays the race card in an attempt to excuse his behavior. Took a late night stroll though Yorkville and watched the thousands of idol worshipers gather - celebs are human meat puppets and idols...Having spent 18 years on flim sets - and I mean most of them were huge American productions - I saw the worst in most of the so-called stars..and I saw the best - very few have real class...they are simply singular corporative entities that support and employ thousands.....back to Yorkville - nothing more silly than 500 young bodied wanna be starletts arm in arm with the dumbest Italian mini - brained studs - all hoping to be noticed...I could not wait to get home to my hood...where it is civilzed and honest...made me think though - Toronto is a dump full of idots - as for what is left of Young Street...it's dark and poorly lit - I saw two very young female prostitutes attempting to pimp off a 16 year old gay boy to another man - my how we have progressed... Celeberty is a joke - I had my doses of fame over the years _ I am not interested in being worshipped...I am interested in making the world a better place - the new generation is not interested in survival of the human race - they are oblivious to others.
