Can't say I get the title: Duplicity didn’t gnaw at his conscience

Seems Kennedy would do whatever was at the best interest of the Democratic party. Wouldn't that describe most politicians? One can't say Republicans don't act in the best interest of the Republican party. Seems to me "duplicity" doesn't "gnaw" at most politicians conscience, but blind partisans can only see it when it's 'the other guy' doing it; and I get the impression the author of that column is guilty of being a blind partisan, which makes him guilty of "duplicity" imo. Unless he writes columns pointing out the "duplicity" of conservatives upon their death, too, but I would have to bet that he doesn't.

Too many politicians from all sides act out of loyalty to their own parties far too often and fail to do the right thing.

After reading another article by David Warren in the Ottawa Citizen today,it seems sad that the passing of Kennedy's elder sister Eunice Kennedy Shriver did not get more attention.Sounds like she was an amazing person,but one who was doing her good deeds without seeking the spotlight.It's too bad that style always get's more attention than substance.
