benny Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 I am somebody who knows that Carter rarely criticizes Hamas. So, a rare utterance from someone such as Carter would be noteworthy don't you think? You mean "departure" not "diversion" then. But still, who are you to say someone goes to see for himself only to have an excuse for sticking blindly to his previous position!? Quote

benny Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Before or after Carter? It is a simple question. Taking so long to answer is suspicious. Quote
KrustyKidd Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Before or after Carter? Before, however, that's irrelevant as I as I am qualified to have an opinion of his views as I have seen and spoken with people from the various sides of this issue. He only speaks of the ill Israel does which is close minded and distorts what is happening. Therefore, if he were to speak ill of Hamas, that would be a diversion from his usual biased opinions. DogOnPorch Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 How can the two be mutually exclusive!? Confederate and Union forces lost about 20,000 killed and wounded @ Antietam. SS and Ukrainian death squads shot and killed over 30,000 Jews at Babi Yar in 24 hours. Gaius Varro lost about 45,000 men slaughtered at Cannae. The British lost 60,000 men killed and wounded on the first day of The Somme...before noon. Over 100,000 died on the night of March 9th-10th, 1945 during the 2nd Tokyo Fire Raid. The Soviet Union lost between 500,000 and 750,000 soldiers at the Battle of Kiev in 1941. Over 1,000,000 Germans were killed, captured or wounded during the Battle of Berlin. Approx. 2 million civilians died during the first year of the Siege of Leningrad (1941-42). Seven-twelve(?) million died during The Great Purge. Etc..etc..etc. Several hundred Hamas?...who the f**k cares? Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.

Oleg Bach Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 If you don't care about Gaza, don't participate to this topic. Not a person you want to have a discussion with. A person so savage that they sit there coldly and do not care if people die - that they are so disconnected - and such game players that they actually choose sides as if they were in high school and were on different teams ----------I would love to put this person in my mothers or fathers history - let them wade through the corpses - let them see members of the family disappear - let them witness hell on earth and let them drink from the cess pool and taste starvation. Exactly! The Gaza strip is the canary in the coal mine; it is a refugee camp that may be used as a model against humanity if we don't take care. Quote
KrustyKidd Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 If you don't care about Gaza, don't participate to this topic. I'm sure that DOP cares about Gaza and it's people but that does not mean that one has to approve of Hamas, their inhumanity to their fellow Palestinians and their ideology which is based on bigotry and hatred. On the other hand, to find nothing wrong with Hamas and blame everything incessantly on Israel is counter productive, as they are the ones who have to be sure of their own security before any progress is made.
