bush_cheney2004 Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Why is it a priority that the pictures be released? Aren't the extremist right wing priorities absurd? No more than the Liberals, NDP, or Green "extremists". Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
Shady Posted May 6, 2009 Author Report Posted May 6, 2009 No more than the Liberals, NDP, or Green "extremists". Exactly. By definition, any extremists priorities are going to be absurd. They're extremists. Quote
jdobbin Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Exactly. By definition, any extremists priorities are going to be absurd. They're extremists. And why are the right wing extremist radicals wanting the pictures? I'm sure they are available under freedom of information if they are truly interested. But why? Quote
KrustyKidd Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Errr...I think the point is that the Office of Mr. Full Disclosure and Open Government won't release the actual results from an ill advised photo op near Ground Zero. I want to see the photos of the bodies coming out of Dover and then, the memos which tell us what intelligence was gained from waterboarding Kalid Shiek Mohammed. Quote We're Paratroopers Lieutenant. waldo Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 ... Including the names of CIA agents responsible for the enhanced interrogation - Bruce Jessen and Jim Mitchell, former military officers. Both men declined to speak to ABC News citing non-disclosure agreements with the CIA. But sources say Jessen and Mitchell together designed and implemented the CIA's interrogation program.ABC News Remember when the left was so outraged when that desk jockey Valery Plame was so-called outed? Have you heard a peep out of them after the mainstream media actually outed two real CIA agents? Nope. the CIA advised Valery Plame was an active covert field operations agent at the time of her outing... those 2 torture gurus were never CIA agents - they were paid consulting psychologists who, at the time of the ABC News report, were retired from the CIA. the raised concern for Valery Plame's outing was it's direct causal link to actions taken by Bush administration personnel... actions which were deemed to be a retaliatory measure against Plame's husband, Joe Wilson, for his substantiated attacks against the Bush administration's attempts to manipulate intelligence to make a case for the unwarranted U.S. invasion of Iraq. Concern was also raised, even within the CIA, that the Plame outing could cause significant harm to U.S. security, notwithstanding the potential for deaths to other covert CIA agents. yours is a futile baseless attempt to draw parallels and weighting between a media outlet and the former Bush administration... and between actions taken against a legitimate covert CIA field operations agent (Valery Plame) and a couple of paid torture consultants (Jensen & Mitchell)... while whining about a perceived disparity in "outrage" relative to event parallels and weighting that only exist in your false agenda. Sir Bandelot Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 someone just got skoooooled! Yep. Sad that he has to stretch so far to post these unimportant criticisms of Obama. Dude, can't you find something real to complain about? Theres plenty I'm sure... but the reason you won't touch on the real issues is that any criticism of such would also be a direct criticism of Bush et al. In other words, same old same old. Which leaves you with nothing to post beyond tabloid trash. I pity you Quote

The White House caved to public pressure. If I had a time machine, and/or could see the future, I wouldn't have started this topic. But alas, I have neither. Anyways... Earlier, White House officials had said that there were no plans to release photos to the public. But the tone seemed to change on Wednesday. CNN Quote
waldo Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 the most plausible reason for the delay is said to be the time it took for Spike Lee to ok the release of the photos Quote
