Will the two become one?

b_c2004 ... you can leave your democrats behind, K? and take some of our tories with you ... and wander the earth for centuries looking for a home ... only to return home finally recognizing that living in a place where people care for each other is really as good as it gets: a dash of socialism never hurt anybody!

But make sure you take Fox news with you, eh? And don't bring them back.

Oh gawd, it's you again, SAGA! How many incarnations is this after you have been kicked off this board a dozen times or more? Back again under Tango must mean you have been kicked off Babble -- again?

How about you take your own advice and wander the earth for centuries looking for a new Message Board to rant on ad nauseum about your tribes and six nations and, yada, yada.

Other more intelligent and moderate people than you have been shown the door from this board and why you persist in your efforts to return here again and again after people have complained to Charles about you and your 'agenda' just proves how desperate you are to have a space to rant and rave.

Try babble again.

...but then we couldn't read yet another thread about Canada merging with the USA.

But make sure you take Fox news with you, eh? And don't bring them back.

But then your CRTC would have nothing to do.

I think the REAL question is ...will America be taken over by the Chinese BEFORE it mergers with Canada?? America can't keep printing money and China is owed alot from the US. I see now China is into Canadian industries and I hope Tories are paying attention to that, maybe China will own all of North America....anyone speak chinese??

I don't see the Chinese coming anywhere close to taking over America - quite the contrary, in fact. The US has a younger population, while China will be hitting a demographic wall in a decade or two - Japan is already facing that problem. So China will have to feed an increasingly elderly population, which will be a dead weight.

Canada also has a relatively young population, like the US, so, as it gets more and more integrated into the US, the combined strength of both nations will ensure American supremacy for the century ahead. And, if we can get Mexico to get its act together and also join the North American Union ...

The US does not need our 'strength'.

We'll be fine on our own as usual.

I'd be opposed to a 'Fortress America ' mentality. I'm more in favour of multilateralism through intergovernmental organizations such as the Un than bilateral relations between Canada and the US specifically.

I'm all for Canada and the US further integrating, but mutually, not one-sidedly. I'd be in favour of sharing a common currency common military, even common citizenship, but only if it involves a large number of countries, including Canada and the US. But Canada and the US only in isolation? I don't think so!

Ideally I'd like to see it be more of a world union, or close to it.

You must have money and live in a nice civilized neighbourhood. I am sure you would be against a merger between Jamacia and Canada with a totally open boarder policy. Go live at Jane and Finch in Toronto. Take a walk at night and think to yourself..If you could go back in time would you have imported the Jamacian crimminal culture to Canada...? Then think again about a merger with America which would cause a leak of Mexican migrants and murderous drug dealing thugs that kill for a living - then think ..do you want them here? There is a horrific price to pay with merger regarding America - a decayed atomosphere and human misery...Look at the EU - then think back - was it Europe better before this big mix up?

I thought we were going to ignore each other.

No, it was your unilateral decision....which you didn't keep. Since you brought it up, it should be noted that members who choose the "ignore" strategy invariably put themselves at a disadvantage.

Please tell us about the "high standards".

I don't know about the NAU ... SPP ... needs a LOT of work ... and a LOT of public input.

And we all saw how much public input there was at the (SPP protests) G8 in Quebec.

NONE. Just government and other corporate input.

We weren't allowed. We've never been asked for input.

We have to 'protest' outside locked gates and windows that don't open to draw attention to our concerns.

They send 'agentes provocateurs' to raise the ante so the police can disperse us.

  1. Where's the capital of the NAU?
  2. What does it's flag look like?
  3. Who is it's PM or President?
  4. How many members are its Parliament and/or Congress?
  5. Where is the tin-foil hat factory?
