  1. Bilingualism is a joke. Why do we need to provide all of our federal services in French and English in Alberta, yet in Quebec, its only French? I can tell you theres more English speakers in Quebec than French speakers in Alberta. In French areas, speak French, in English, speak English. Makes alot of sense to me. There will always been French education available, hell, we have Spanish and Ukrainian schools in Calgary.
  2. So who's responsible stignasty? Are we supposed to forgive and forget without even knowing who was guilty? It takes more than a handful of people to construct such an 'elaborate kickback scheme.' Until we know who in the party are criminals, how do they have any authority over this country?
  3. A vote for the Liberals is a vote for a criminal organization. As your making up quotes from Harper, I'll post real quotes from Gomery: "The public trust in the in its system of government was subverted and betrayed, and Canadians were outraged, not only be cause public funds were wasted and misappropriated, but also because no one was held responsible or punished for his misconduct." -- Justice John Gomery "Good intentions are not an excuse for maladministration of this magnitude," he said. -- Justice John Gomery "Mr. Pelletier failed to take the most elementary precautions against mismanagement – and Mr. Chrétien was responsible for him." -- Justice John Gomery The leader of the Liberals criminal mismanged our money, setup a kickback scheme, in which our money ended up in the Liberal Party's bank account. Thief and fraud in the clearest sense. If this was a mafia organization, every member would be guilty by association. Why do the Liberals get special treatment? Why has no one served a day in jail for stealing millions of dollars that should have been spent on these so called Liberal priorities? Martin is equally guilty. He continues to hide who the members are that got elected on our stolen money. Someone needs to go to jail, many people need to go to jail. This isn't Canadian values, to steal openly from the public purse. Until Liberal members spend real time in jail, this party will lack the moral authority to govern this country and its people. I have nothing against NDP voters. Just an idealogical difference. So here I am, never thought I'd beg people for votes, never thought I'd ever care. Vote Conservative or NDP tomorrow, whatever you believe. The Liberals can't be allowed to get away from this without punishment. Please don't reward criminal fraud and deception with another mandate.
  4. The first part that says we are down to 1% is misleading if you read the rest of the release. I wasn't being critical of Big Gunner, he just posted the results, no biggy. I'm just critical of any release that comes out right before the election that is so different from the rest of the polls. I understand with the smaller sample size its going to be off by more. But thats outside even margin of error to any of the other polls. See what I mean? Just doesn't seem right for it to be that off and right at the end.
  5. Preston as GG eh. I love it. Obviously, I'll be voting CPC tomorrow. I get to vote for Stephen himself. I hope we get all the fountains and golf courses Johhny C's riding got.
  6. No I think we've just gone to the induvidual local beer bets.
  7. BigGunner I hope I didn't come across as attacking you for posting it, I was attacking the polling company for publishing it. Your right, its been a long long campaign, I almost feel like a vacation is in order.
  8. It should be. Polls have way to much influence on a vote to be released this close. I'm all in favour of 3 days.
  9. Let Betsy answer, its a fair question. I don't think a party would bother paying someone to come here. It's not enough votes for the price. I'm a member of both the CPC and NCC just to be honest, I've never hidden either. Prior to the CPC I was a member of the PCs.
  10. I didn't care about the poll as much as how the papers would spin it the next day. All is good anyways, the n=11,000 ipsos poll looks tastier.
  11. Whew I didn't see that Ipsos poll on their website and I was a little worried that the papers were going to lead with "Harper is losing" headlines tomorrow. Apparently we are up 10%, and Ipsos interviewed 11,000 people... SES intervied 400...
  12. Thank you, and I agree. Fear based politics combined with consumerism...sufficient to pull the wool over most American eyes. And yes, we aren't so pressured here to be patriotic, or to lock or doors, or to build walls around our communities, or to further fill up our prisons, to increase our military, or to go off to war to protect ourselves against so called terrorists... Apparently Alberta (or at least one of them here ) disagrees....and wishes to shut up anybody who doesn't !! I don't wish to shut anyone up. Don't go saying that we are trying to get Harper elected on fear... the Liberal campaign has been completely based on making people fear Harper. This isn't the US. Harper isn't claiming that electing liberals will bring in a terrorist attack or a war or anything. Theres no fear, theres no implied patriotism. There is no comparison.
  13. I'm going to call into question any poll released this late. It's not only exercising undue influence on the actual results, but released by itself like that has no peer review. It's also completely misleading. Read the actual who'd ya vote for category and the Conservatives are up by 6? This is ridiculous, I was ok with polling. But releasing one so late on the night before the election, thats just crap. Hopefully the general population doesn't read this. Or at least reads the whole polling result that shows the lead has only shrunk 1% to 6%... not down to 1%.
  14. Since when is anyone required to talk to a reporter eh? She was quite freaky. I know a few people that would act like that, and they in general aren't people with enough brains to come up with decent questions to ask anyways.
  15. I still insist that a lock hasn't ever stopped anyone. How many criminals go door to door checking locks? (maybe they do, I'm not a criminal??) If someone's going to break in, they are going ot have the tools to do it if your door is locked right? So no difference. It's part of the whole free-loader principle. Everyone will assume you lock your doors as long as everyone else does.
  16. Because they are paid by this country's leftist governments... Maybe its time to pull the plug.
  17. A lock on your door isn't going to stop anyone I agree. Its a false sense of security. I still lock mine though.
  18. The Finance Minister holds the chequebook. Deciding not to do anything about it is just as immoral as doing it yourself. Martin is guilty whether Gomery says so or not, even just by association. If a mafia group laundered money like that, they'd all be guilty by association. I don't see the difference. The Prince is a good read, way beyond Martin though.
  19. I definitely have a renewed respect for the CBC after watching their coverage this election. Now if they would only axe Au Courant I'd be a happy camper.
  20. Some days I wish they followed through on that.
  21. Just playing to the audience, I don't blame them, its how you sell papers.
  22. And were on to comparisons of the Nazi's... great, so much for informed debate. How many threads have their been comparing Harper to Bush to Hitler? How stupid can these people make themselves look? And to Concerned... I strongly suggest you learn a little more about history before you say Russia was only preserving their boundaries and not expanding during the Cold War. Need I remind you of Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan?? Maybe you need to do some research.
  23. Fine with me as long as those seats leave the Libs. Agreed but I wouldn't bet on it. The Liberals always do better than expected on voting day... As long as those gains are from the NDP, all is good in the world..
  24. You know those lefties don't believe freedom is important, they'd rather see dictatorships that occasionally feed their people in order to raise armies or what not.
