  1. Sad to say but the representatives les Quebecois sent to Ottawa, le Bloc, or should we say Blockheads, have really blown it bigtime. Today the big winners are the NDP who have the budget they wanted and the kudos they deserve. Tol bad le Bloc memebers are so full of hatred they could not cut a deal with the Liberals and get the benefits for the Quebeckers that they deserve. I can assure you that the Bloc has peaked and have one way to go and that is due South! The NDP is now in the driver's seat.
  2. There's a poor loser in every crowd! The vote today looks good on you for supporting Harper who drove Belinda and Cadman away. Who is the next person that is going to leave the Cons? Buckle up & learn to take defeat like a man!
  3. The last person in the world who wants an election now is Harper. Just call this poll the Belinda bounce! BTW I have just checked and the accurate EKOS poll results are as follows: Libs: 34.7% Cons: 28.3% NDP: 18.4% After all the shouting and yelling, basically no change from the 2004 election results. Ontario is especially devastating for the Cons trailing the Libs by 15%. Go Belinda Go!
  4. This EKOS poll is obviously a lot more accurate than the Compas poll, due to its sample size. The Conservatives, now trailing the Liberals by more than 10%, if they force an election, might be jeopardizing their official opposition status. Hari Kari anyone?
  5. Prime Minister Layton? Canadians are obviously tired of the bitter partisan politics exhibited by Canada's two leading political parties and appear on the threshhold of looking or something new. It seems that the Jack Layton New Democrats have the potential to really change things in Ottawa.
  6. Harper drove Stronach from Tories, friend says This is totally unacceptable behaviour and Harper needs to be replaced as soon as possible.
  7. If I had to chose between corruption and no social conscience I'll, and I'd hazzard a guess and suggest that most Canadians will too, take a little corruption over no social conscience. Canada is doing might fine thank you. If you really want to destroy this country put this mean-spirited little man Harper in power, supported by the Bloc's Duceppe - what a great duo they would make!
  8. Wound may be fatal to his leadership The Conservatives, code for Reform or Alliance, are basically through as a national party as long as Harper is their Leader. Stronach was about the only voice left that was moderate in the party which she helped to start up. The fact that even Belinda was not made to feel welcome with Harper's leadership, will be the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.
  9. NDP Considered Comparatively Most Ethical Now this is very interesting - the New Democrats score the highest. I wonder whast it is that makes Canadians realize that the Jack Layton New Democrats are the most principled politicians in Canada!
  10. A good rule of thumb is if which party do you support is not asked by the second question in a political polling survey you can bet it is a PUSH POLL! I think you will probably see the Globe and Mail and Strategic Counsel's Allan Gregg get discredited tomorrow.
  11. Platform sounds good to me.
  12. How sad to make a comment like the above in the 21st century. So this is what a separatist Quebec will look like. Thanks but no thanks! The real problem right now in Canada is that there are no NHL Hockey Playoffs so everyone is feeling antsy! Come on now, you can tough it out folks!
  13. I agree it is about time Ontario had its ass kicked. I mean talk about ripping the rest of the outlying provinces, first nations, etc., off. But it isn't just Ontario. Ontario, Quebec, what's the difference? The reality is that Quebec and Ontario have been ripping off the rest of the country bigtime since 1867, the beginning of Confederation!
  14. What do mean most? All of Canada is great except for Alberta!
  15. A Quebecker's a Quebecker as far as I am concerned! My reasoning is as follows: Take Lucien Bouchard: One day a Conservative the next day a Blochead Take Rene Levesque: One day a Liberal, the next day a Pequiste
  16. What more do you want? To get rid of all people in Quebec because they are not, what was that phrase Parizeau used: "Quebec Stock""? Separatists, who have just over 10% support btw, need to stop lying to eveyone. French is supported across the country. but when it comes to social programs if we are to be a successful society we require national standards across Canada. This opting out is bulcanizing our country and not only do we need to put a stop to it, we need to reverse some of these idiotic decisions to allow provinces special control over things like immigration. We have a federal governemnt that is quite capable of deciding who we let in, and who we don't let into Canada. And let's also get real about the Gomery Commission - sad to have to say it, but it is all about Quebeckers!
  17. Quebeckers have it mighty good. The French were defeated by the English yet were allowed to keep their language, etc. If Canada still isn't good enough for some of these malcontents, these nutbar nationalists, let they go back to France where they came from. There are a lot of other people in the world who would love to take their place. God I'm tired of the whining both from Quebec and Alberta!
  18. Digby..........you are correct about the Quebecois having their own history books, probably edited by Jose Legault. We have had enough BS in Canada with Quebec. They have had 2 kicks at the can and failed. From now on any referendum will be run under Ottawa's rules - the Clarity Act! Watch and see with a straight forward question rather than the PQ BS, and you are going to see a drastic drop in support for these Quebec separatist yahoos!
  19. A lot of you people have it all wrong. It is the Layton New Democrats who may be pulling the plug on the Liberals after the budget vote, that is if the Harperites haven't got cold feet by then, as they start reading the tea leaves, and their future, under their Reform/ Canadian Alliance/Fraser Institute/Republican wanna be Steevie dude!
  20. I have a message for my French-Canadian friends. Do you remember the battle of the Plains of Abraham? Any time you want to go two out of three just let me know!
  21. Care to elaborate on such a brilliant comment!
  22. Well the audience in the stands is beginning to appreciate the Lack Layton New Democrats and I would surmise that they will only grow in popularity as more and Canadians get fed up with the Barnam & Bailey circus act being performed by the Harper - Martin - Duceppe trio! Imagine suggesting that you wanted MPs on the other side of the House to get ill because you are such a poor loser in your desperate bid for power, or engineering a voting process around whether or not someone is going in for a cancer operation. How pathetically sad!
  23. Jack Layton bill means farewell to tax cuts By all accounts Canada can easily afford this revised budget created by the Layton New Democrats. Finally Canadians are going to get a budget they basically voted for and want. The Leader of the New Democrat's support amongst the voting public will only grow as a result.
  24. I dare say Scott you have been looking up the word "bigot" in the dictionary. You are certainly no flaming right winger like Mike Harris who prided himself on not reading books. What an absolute tragedy his policies have subjected the Ontario people to. Remember Walkerton anyone - it has right wing written all over it! This is what is in store for Canadians should Harper every get his grubby little hands on the seat of power in Ottawa. Can you imagine the descredited and totally unscientific research people from Fraser Institute running Canada. That would be about as big a disaster as we have ever experienced in our country. We would be selling our Canadian souls to the US in a flash if Harper ever gets his way. God forbid!
