Dana Larsen: Media reports 8,851 Canadians killed by cannabis https://www.straight.com/cannabis/1097556/dana-larsen-canadian-press-story-claims-8851-annual-deaths-cannabis-use-truth# Smoking kills 47,000 a year in Canada? https://fightantismokertyranny.blogspot.com/2008/06/smoking-kills-47000-year-in-canada.html In 2014, road crashes claimed an estimated 2,297 lives. Based on testing of fatally-injured drivers, it may be estimated that 1,273 (55.4%) of these deaths resulted from crashes in which an individual was positive for alcohol and/or drugs. 299 deaths, or 13%, occurred in crashes involving individuals who were positive for alcohol alone. 618 deaths, or 26.9%, occurred in crashes involving individuals who were positive for drugs alone. 356 deaths, or 15.5%, occurred in crashes involving individuals who were positive for both alcohol and drugs. In 2017, an estimated: 103,100 Canadian men were diagnosed with cancer and 42,600 men died from cancer. 103,200 Canadian women were diagnosed with cancer and 38,200 women died from cancer. On average, 565 Canadians were diagnosed with cancer every day. On average, 221 Canadians died from cancer every day. Read more: http://www.cancer.ca/en/cancer-information/cancer-101/cancer-statistics-at-a-glance/?region=on#ixzz5vaZWOpZZ LETS TAKE A LOOK at GUNS..... suicides accounted for 9,919 of the 13,168 gun deaths in Canada from 2000 to 2016. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/canada-gun-facts-crime-accidental-shootings-suicides-1.4803378 The statistic counter above is based on a rate of 722 gun deaths per year http://www.rawnumbers.com/crime/gun-deaths-in-canada.html Most gun deaths are self-inflicted and intentional Because they tend to be private matters and not widely reported, suicides can often be overlooked in the discussion of firearms. But self-inflicted injuries account for three-quarters of gun deaths in this country. It's not that your disgusted by the people killed by a firearm, because Canadians are dying a lot fast and in greater numbers in hundreds of different ways...and yet the anti gun lobby does not mention them....no cry's for banning steak knifes, finding a cure for cancer, stopping the sale of Tabaco … Why is that....
-
Where is the evidence that we need more gun control, are bad guys lining up to purchase their guns from local gun shops, or are they buying illegal guns from illegal sources...........or is it that your just scared of fire arms...why not stand on your soap box and demand a ban on booze, it kills more Canadians each day than fire arms, Is it because you don't understand the legal gun culture thing so you want it stopped.
-
How many of these wpns used in these Toronto killings or for that matter killings across the country are wpns that were legally registered with RCMP used by legal gun owners, or were stolen legal guns. ...Then perhaps you can explain how banning any fire arms will stop these bad guys from these shootings. what is next how many stabbings in Canada, should me ban steak knifes, we are already getting rid of plastic knifes so why not

I would agree most Americans are 100 % more patriotic than Canadians, or atleast they are more visual and vocal about it...And while all the states are locked into the union , it does not mean California is the most popular state in the union, I would compare it to BC, full of peace niks and tree huggers, and dope smoking hippies.... This is my point , there are few separations that end well, Canada is not immune to all of that, when diplomacy does not work, then it normally ends in violence..

You guys can find a million reasons to separate, and those that think this union of Canada works at it's best when we are together can find a millions reason not to separate....happens in any group or 2 or more people your not going to find one solution that is going to make every one happy.....But history has shown clearly that separation is not the end all be all, That the grass on the other side is always greener, until you get over there and find out that military pension you like so much is gone, CPP gone, any other form of welfare payment is gone....and you and your family are pushed into survival mode.. our economy is going to suffer, our dollar will be worth shit, ahhh so what you need a wheel barrow full of dollar bills to buy bread...anyone remember the 30's when our economy went to shit.... ya good luck with all that, how is the last 4 generations prepared for that type of event, .....can you imagine the devastation to todays generation when you can no longer pay the bills, live in your house, get a job, feed your family...ya that always brings out the best in people right......but hey you'll have freedom....good luck trying to eat freedom....freedom does not keep you warm at night, nor does it keep you and your family safe... Anyone that has seen conflict first hand knows that it does not take a whole lot of effort to tear down what we have today, and turn it into something that looks like Yugo, Somolia etc...Ask them how freedom tastes, and was it worth all the death and destruction , and what have they gained....that was worth all of that... You talk of periods in time when our country was in crises Boar war, WWI, WWII, Korea the list goes on....tell me when was the last time as a soldier you gave a rats ass who was in charge and where in the country they came from....Last time I checks all you cared about was the guy on the left and right of you...comrades in arms...could be from any where really Quebec, Alberta, Maritimes....when did it matter, it never did ...who cares who is the PM and what party they are from, or what policies they would bring in , who has the most oil, what province was poorer or richer, ....what was important was the person on the left and right....the same attitude that built this nation from log cabins to sprawling urban centers...all of that would be impossible had we just walked away because of a few differences, or because we spoke a different language. We all have our differences, I think BC is full of hippies and peaceniks Greens who eat way to many mushrooms, and smoke shit tones of weed, But they are still Canadian and when in time of crises, or hard times I know I can count on them to have my back....we all have our reasons and things we dislike about our nation....But I will tell you this , the best years of my life were when I served this nation from east coast to west coast and I wore that Canadian flag on my uniform....and every time I came home from some shit hole on the other side of the globe, I always gave thanks to god for allowing me to grow up and raise my family in Canada.

Thats democracy, most western nations have the same issues, with unity, including the States, I mean how does the other states describe those from California for example, not everyone gets along within the union, ...everything about a free democracy is fragile and can be sent into a spin with very little effort....History is full of examples...empires come and go, and yet history also shows were are stronger as a whole than if we broke it all apart, so we could do our own thing....

Your right, did you also know that they are the only former socialist state to have an entirely peaceful breakup. All the rest have had conflict, Such as the break up of the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia is a huge example of what not to do, north and south Korea, Sudan/south Sudan, Ethiopia / Eritrea, India / Pakistan, Sebia/ Kosovo The list goes on forever....the point here is Most separations devolve into conflict. And don't think it will not happen in Canada, during the last attempt of Quebec's separation, the 5 th CMBG ( CFB Valcartier, was sent to new York state) to take any French military units out of the picture and from getting involved, at the time Quebec was actively recruiting or asking DND persons where they're loyalties lie....…. F-18 in Bagoville were sent to the USA as well once on the ground all aircraft were grounded by US forces on orders from our government. CFB Petawawa had it's alert status upgraded, recall all soldiers recalled from leave and confined to area, 3 RCR was placed on the highest alert level, told to expect immediate deployment...all of this was in response to the separation vote, and while nothing happened, what do you think would have had the vote turned the other way..... had it gone badly our military would have deployed into Quebec...How would that have gone over with Quebec citizens ?....not very well I would think...Just a note these actions were taken by a liberal government with strong ties to Quebec.... Like I have said, what is it that Quebec expects to get from separating, other than freedom, I mean no economy , no credit rating to speak off, no currency, no major military equipment, it faces a massive pull out of federal depts., and all of its funding, like CPP, funding for projects , or lets not mention the 9 bil in federal payments, no trade agreements with anyone, lets not mention all the federal infra structure thats not going to be free...Quebec's borders will not look like todays, Canada must be able to have freedom of movement between Ontario and the Atlantic provinces, it also has to have freedom of movement of goods and services along the ST Lawrence sea way. and while Quebec will be hurting for decades so will the ROC, our dollar will lose value, our GDP will suffer, everything will change...
-
Canada has a long way to go before it reaches levels that you would see from if a separation happened....how do you think the news of Quebec's leaving would effect global markets and the value of our dollar...
-
Like I said you don't know what you have until it is gone....freedom does not put food on the table....nor does it pay for all those liberal programs such as unemployment, welfare, old age pensions, health care...
-
Quebec thinks it is her own nation....they talk a good game , until when it comes down to doing up the battle plan, and every time when they run the numbers it comes up with shit....explain to me how Quebecor's or Albertans are going to be better off with their own nation.... I get it lots of Liberal snowflakes in this country, and yes I do think they are running it to the ground....I don't like it better than anyone else...but it is a lot better than voting for separation, then getting it, waking up from the hang over and asking WTF did I do....who is paying the bills now....not Quebec....
-
Regardless of what any say, Canada is a nation like it or not that is a fact, do we all get along ….no we don't , but don't blow smoke up my ass if you think we as Canadians be better off if we all went our separate ways....and I would not depend on the US to pick up the pieces....or their terms to be as great as we all wish they would be.... And if Quebec was to make even a slight go of it, it would have to sell it's sole to France to support them for decades to come, and our good neighbors to the south are not going to let them wine drinking , surrendering mother truckers have a piece of the NA pie your crazy...
-
You've been drinking to much BLOC cool-aid if you think Quebec will be better off as it's own nation...The only thing guaranteed in separation is Quebec will be on it's own...Canada is not going to role over and grant Quebec everything it needs to be as well off as it is now....Such as Canada will not allow you to cut off eastern Canada from the rest of the nation, it is not going to grant you full control of the St Lawrence sea way...perhaps you can explain to all of us how your going to separate and not have any conflict with the rest of the nation such as currency, borders, etc etc
-
Canada will always be stronger in every way together, than if we all went our separate ways....Canada will cease to be a nation shortly after any of the provinces leave the union... new unions will be formed, none will have any resemblance of power and wealth that we have as a nation....
-
No crime , maybe you should check again....all major city centers have crime, the entire country has a low unemployment rate, you have Hydroelectricity because you stole it from most of it from NFLD, everyone has oil....you think that Quebec is going to define their own borders, then there's the splitting Canada in to Two pieces not going to happen sorry.......you also own a portion of Canada's dept, plus what of all the federal infra structure there do you think thats all going to be free. Not to mention what of the 9 bil dollar s Quebec receives every year form the rest of the nation.... I think those that are for separation have not thought it out fully...Canada would take a major hit to it's economy, not to mention Quebec's or Alberta's … our dollar would be worth shit....and Quebec's or Alberta's would be worth even less....it would forever change everything in Canada....other nations have tried the same thing and a lot of them have not ended well, things like civil war, or major conflict in some cases....Nothing good is going to happen from separation, the grass is always greener on the other side until you cross the fence only to find things are not so rosy Canada is only strong when we are whole....
-
Mali is a peace keeping mission, or so it is called, but at what point is a peace keeping mission just that.... is it when you can call in airstrikes, arty strikes, carry a full war load of ammo, shot people on site for carrying wpns,....thats not peace keeping thats war.....they call it a peace keeping mission to keep regular civilians calm....so they don't ask questions, like how many people have died in this conflict on both sides....or how much funding is it costing...
-
This is another example of how little Canadians know about there own military, who can blame them , according to CBC the majority of Canadians could not pass a simple citizenship test....So it does not surprise me, that they still cling to this Liberal Myth of our military being a peace keeping one....Our nations armed forces have spent more days at war than any other operation, or peace keeping duties....ya google that shit....

"HATE" crime legislation IS 'hate'-ful....
Army Guy replied to Scott Mayers's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Or maybe the policy or law is meant to be neutral for everyone....NO wearing of religious symbols period, be it that your white, brown, black, or purple....so it favors no one, nor does it decimate against any one religion... -
I did not know we were in a race to see how smart we are, according to jaccee charts it describes much money was being made by ethic back ground, which contradicts your chart a little .....and according to her chart which you liked...it showed that people of polish decent actually made more money....I'm not sure but aren't majority of polish people white, I could be wrong, but if it is true, then being smarter does not translate into earning better wages...as I don't see polish people even on your smart chart.... Also you forgot to mention what assistance is provided each group, lets say what government programs are available , both provincial and federally and what type of assistance is provided, tech assistance, financial, education, etc etc....are they of the same value....can they even be compared to equally.... And what kind of question is "how do you feel about children of immigrants and how they're doing better than whites?" like your rubbing Argus nose in it , or it should of ended with nana de nana my dad is bigger than yours...., lets look at corporate head quarters across the country, shit across America, pull up the photos of the CEO's of any large company like general motors, Canadian tire, ford, pick any large company, and tell me who do you see in those photos , are they all second-generation Chinese, South Asians and West Asian or Arabs or are they mostly white men and women....So how does that make you feel, when you know they are smarter for some reason but they are not very well represented in Corporate America head quarters..

So your telling me earnings of between 25 K and 38 K are significant, after 15 years here in Canada.....your cracked... How are they affording to live in large city centers such as Toronto....Shit even here in NB Canadians are earning on average those wages or a little better and it is considered on the poor side of the pay scale....now lets take off taxes shall we....those are not significant wages....first year privates in the army are making those kind of wages, and after 4 years of service are making 65k before taxes....only one group on your graph was making close to 50 K and those where polish people This is typical liberal response, if anyone does not agree with my opinion your a far right racist, you and your ilk are not interested in hearing any other sides to the topic.... just spamming your opinion on as many forums as you can , and then calling the rest of us racists...
-
Are you saying there are already enough programs to help under privileged Canadians ? Nor do you address the question as to WHY we need to import low skilled workers when we have lots of them already within our borders? Instead you rely on your old standard come backs, surprised you did not blame it all on Harper....but bravo on getting that plug in on conservatives.

Is Canada afraid of America?
Army Guy replied to romeoromeo's topic in Canada / United States Relations
besides Justin already apologized to almost everyone. Were good. -
Why don't Canadians just come to their senses....Climate change is real, OK thats a fact... but average Canadian don't give a rats ass, yes they talk the good talk, even debate it here on the forums, but what are they willing to do about it, ....the liberal plans is garbage, the Cons plan is garbage, NDP plan is better, but still lacks any real vision, and the greens plan, turn the lights out by 2030, not happening ,so whats left, and the PPC plan is they don't believe in climate change, well atleast they have not blown smoke up your arse…..But hey Canada has declared a national emergence on the climate...But the plans don't reflect any emergence do they ?....Maybe it's just me.... So here we are with no plan thats going to do anything , or make a difference in regards to the world stage....and we still talk about this shit hoping one day someone with some leadership and determination, will step forward with a brand new plan.....that day is not going to happen until we have 10 feet of water in our living rooms and it's to late....Eyeball will have to find a taller tree, and you true believers will have to tread water, And still you people are going to vote on party lines, because thats what you do...your are afraid of change and when it comes down to it, your are not afraid of treading water.....how many will vote with this issue in mind ? how many thinks it is a waste of good oxygen talking about it because it will not make a difference ?

As long as we are talking refugees with little to no assets, why are we concentrating all our efforts on people who have fled war and are now safe and receiving food , shelter, and security for the most part. why not concentrate our efforts on the people who are not as fortunate as those in these camps like those that are starving, homeless with no hope in site......why do these people who are not in any immediate danger get to jump the ques.... Why do we not have any conversation about the people like the ones mentioned below, is it because they are black, or don't have any money, and have very little skills, where is the debate on these people...Why has our own Somalia born immigration minister forgotten his own lost people... https://www.worldvision.org/hunger-news-stories/east-africa-hunger-famine-facts We are concerned about low skill labor here in Canada, maybe we should be placing those that are on unemployment or welfare in those jobs....Thats right I said it, why do we need to import these labor solutions when we have home grown unskilled laborers right here in Canada or are Canadians to proud to work in these jobs ?

new liberal program for young Canadians I mean young Pakistanis to enable the capital to start up of new businesses , plus full citizenship the day you land in Canada...., the only condition is you have to be a Pakistani, living in Pakistan, under this program the business owners plus all the CEO's and all the workers plus all their families will get full citizenship , all on the Canadian dime... This program is not available to anyone else.....not even Canadians, this is the same country that harbored known terrorist, Bin Ladin ring a bell, along with thousands more....Go liberals go how do we explain this to the rest of the world, and once again how do we justify it to Canadians

Climate Change and the Invasion of Canada
Army Guy replied to J4L's topic in Canada / United States Relations
