  1. Here is an example of a victory, for Canadian soldiers on Vimy ridge....look at what it cost the Bristish and french, previously on attacks on the same position....100,000 Casualties now that was a disaster.... 13 dead and 415 wounded while tragic, is not a disaster... The Battle of Vimy Ridge (April 9–12, 1917) resulted in over 10,600 total Canadian casualties, with 3,598 killed and approximately 7,000 wounded. The victory was a defining moment for Canada in World War I, though it came at a high cost, with nearly 75% of casualties occurring on the first day. [1, 2, 3] Key Casualty Figures (Canadian Corps): Total Casualties: ~10,600–11,776 (killed, wounded, missing) Fatalities: 3,598 dead Wounded: ~7,000–7,004 [1, 2, 3, 4] Context and Significance: Four Divisions: For the first time, all four divisions of the Canadian Corps fought together. Previous Failed Attempts: Before the Canadian assault, previous French and British efforts to take the ridge resulted in over 100,000 casualties. Vimy Memorial: The Canadian National Vimy Memorial in France bears the names of 11,285 Canadian soldiers who died in France and have no known grave, representing the broader cost of the war. 2. There is no data kept to give an exact number of how many Jr NCO have degrees, i was going off my experience in my career... And your right a civilian university degree does not teach leadership as a topic, however in the Canadian military, officer candidates are offer two programs, described below, if you already have your education completed then there is a direct enter plan, do officer basic training and then advanced trades training... How ever if you want to have your education paid for, one could take up the ROTP, this direction allows you to complete your degree, plus receive Leadership training...We call this group Ring knockers....And trust me not to many liberals in any military university, or training school....Not saying there is no liberals in the military they are just few and far between....it is the culture, and the Job that at least in the army does not have to many liberal values, or morals....I would think it is the same for the Navy, Air force but i don't have any experience in those areas... Officer training in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) begins with the intensive 12-week Basic Military Officer Qualification (BMOQ) at the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School (CFLRS) in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. This program focuses on leadership, military law, weapons handling, and physical fitness. Following BMOQ, officers undertake occupation-specific training. [1, 2, 3] Key Aspects of Officer Training Basic Military Officer Qualification (BMOQ): This program, also known as Basic Training for Officers, is designed to transition civilians into military leaders, focusing on discipline, physical resilience, and leadership skills. Entry Plans: Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP): Candidates attend the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) or a civilian university, with tuition paid by the CAF, graduating as a Commissioned Officer. Direct Entry Officer (DEO): For those who already possess a university degree, they proceed directly to BMOQ and then occupational training. Training Structure: BMOQ is physically and mentally demanding, with training including field exercises, land navigation, and obstacle courses. Occupation-Specific Training: Following BMOQ, officers are trained in their specific trade (e.g., Pilot, Engineer, Infantry) at various training centres across Canada, such as the Combat Training Centre in Gagetown, NB Which ever path you choose every soldier or officer is required to complete leadership training along the way, for JR NCO's your first step in leadership training is JLC, not sure what they call it now, but it is a prerequisite to getting promoted to Master Corporal, then your next is when promoted to SGT for most Combat arms trades, then WO, MWO, and CWO each rank you must pass this leadership block in order to get promoted... What your forgetting is once you join the military they will give you all the Ideology you can handle, and not much of it reflects liberals moral and values...There is not much room for it....and if you show any of those traits it is normally beat out of you... Trust me, when i say most of the leadership in the Canadian military are not liberal minded, It is the job of every Snr NCO to mentor all Junior officers and they do not tolerate very many liberal traits...it is beaten out of them at an early stage.... The Canadian military use to be Apolitical, ands to a certain point it is, for instance we are not allow to voice any political opinion to the any media, or civilians...one can not volunteer to help with any political campaign, not run for any governmental position, at any level...Can not attend any political protest, of any kind...the is many more but in todays world it is hard to stay neutral politically, or stay silenced about it any way...It is a good way to end a career. Here in Canada Liberals are not military friendly...Unless forced by our neighbors down south... Every job has a ideology attached to it, Military is no exception....One must remember that a lot of jobs in the military one might have to take a life, and are taught a much different set of morals and values than one might find in a liberal mind set.
  3. Speaking a language is not a good indicator of nationality...both Canada and the US speak English does not make us British...
  4. Actually All officers must have a degree , and a large portion of NCM's have degrees in todays military.....Improving upon your existing education will get you more points on your yearly performance review....soldiers can also apply for higher education, attend a civilian school while still getting paid by the military....So the divide is not that great...
  5. We already have a investment fund that does the same thing...Canada's infra structure bank...plus many others....how many more do we need....Most of them have been up and running for a while now.... https://cib-bic.ca/ The federal government of Canada operates several specialized Crown corporations and investment entities that act as investment banks, focusing on infrastructure, development, export, and strategic economic sectors. As of April 2026, the government is expanding this portfolio with a new national sovereign wealth fund. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] Here are the key federal investment and development banks: Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB): A Crown corporation that invests $35 billion in revenue-generating infrastructure projects (public transit, trade and transportation, and green infrastructure) and attracts private sector capital. Canada Growth Fund Inc. (CGF): A $15 billion fund designed to attract private capital to Canada’s clean technology and critical minerals sectors, operating as an arm’s-length entity managed by PSP Investments. Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC): Offers financing, venture capital, and advisory services to Canadian small and medium-sized businesses, with a focus on startups, innovation, and sustainability. Export Development Canada (EDC): Canada’s export credit agency that provides financing, insurance, and bonding to Canadian companies expanding internationally. Canada Strong Fund: Announced in April 2026 as a new $25 billion sovereign wealth fund aimed at investing in nation-building projects on a commercial basis to grow wealth for future generations. Canada Indigenous Loan Guarantee Corporation: A new entity established to facilitate Indigenous ownership and investment in major projects. Farm Credit Canada (FCC): A specialized financial institution providing financing and services to the agricultural and food industry. Development Finance Institute Canada (FinDev Canada): A subsidiary of EDC that supports private sector growth in developing markets. Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV): A Crown corporation that manages commercial holdings on behalf of the government, such as the Trans Mountain Corporation. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  6. No it is not...ever been to Saudi Arabia, UAE, or other oil rich countries...we have the same amount of resources and we have 2 half million people going to the food banks...What are they doing we are not...
  7. Back then total war had no rules, everyone was a target, ....you seem to think that war is some kind of gentlemen's agreement, it is clean and only those in the military die...here is an unfortunate fact in most if not all conflicts the civilian population suffer the most...more than both military sides combined....you naive if you think only military die in war...
  8. Wow you managed to find a liberal that served in a military...Most that served in todays Canadian military are conservatives....very few are liberals....why do you think that is ?
  9. 41 % of Canadians believe Carney has failed to keep his campaign promises...70% of Canadians say he has failed in making everything affordable. 42 % of the country believe Carney is on the wrong track...And as far has handling trump it is another failure, we still struggle with tariffs, still no Cusma deal, not sure how you can say he was successful... It has been a full year since elected, yes he has had some small successes, but nothing he promised ...
  10. Liberals new fund has many experts asking a lot of questions, including CBC, which everyone knows is Liberal friendly....which is a huge red flag, that something does not smell right....And Carney was being touted as a master banker, and yet many of his comrades are not convinced this idea is going to work....It is not the same as those examples he uses, they are very different than Carneys model.....Is this going to be a huge gamble for Canadians investing in this fund....Government does not exactly have a record of investing money wisely... The video is well done...
  11. Warning liberal trigger warning.... It seems Canadians are focused on many other issues than what carney is focused on, While carney believes Trump is the number one bogy man, Canadians think cost of living is the number one issue...and while trump surely is a factor in all that, Carney is not doing much to get a deal done....meanwhile Canada has already lost 100,000 jobs do to US tariffs....which is only going to increase in the future... Is Canada going in the right direction...it seems the majority of Canadians don't think so...of course liberal voters are nose blind to anything wrong with Carney, the rest of us as picking up a whiff of that foul order, that comes after eating some really foul chilly... When are we going to see this nation become that energy super power.....might have to wait until the conservative get in power... Poll shows more Canadians believe Carney is on the wrong track than the right one: report

  13. we need to let the liberals start going to war for the nation, just to show them the realities of war...
  14. Have you ever read a history book, you make it sound like Israel invented this type of warfare, not true, everyone that has been involved in a conflict runs the same playbook........once war is declared, attrition is one of the main goals of war, .. forcing the other side to surrender and agree to "your" terms....that could be one death or millions...There are no rights, in war....very little rules, war is nothing but death, destruction, and more death....Governments decide how long wars last, or what is there surrender point...not soldiers....Your perception of war is that of a war movie... There are rules to warfare there is no carte blanche as you say there is...Everyone must follow the Geneva convention, inter national law and your own nations law....Everyone must follow them or face the courts....But i want to be clear here....you kill as many as you have to to make the other side surrender and agree to your terms....you don't want to have to do it all over next week....much like in Gaza....
  15. Unfortunately the media does not show that aspect, it does not sell papers.....if it bleeds it leads, is their moto....the other side of the story is the people who read that sh!t fill in the blanks with their own imagination....not knowing the full story, but then again they don't want to know they need to justify their anger towards Israel and what they are doing...
  16. Lots of things and places have special status, meaning no one can target them deliberately, Schools are one of those places....how ever the Geneva convention is very clear on this If the enemy is using your example to operate in then Yes it is a legitimate military target...there are many other considerations that take place as well, Such as is their students in the school, then your options would need to be table topped to see different courses of action....They will pick the best option that offer the best results....ie dead terrorist, children safe...If the target is a high value target they "may" target the school regardless of who is in there....It is up to the commander in charge....keep in mind if the order is illegal then the entire kill chain could face charges. Most soldiers are trained before they go over seas on the rules of engagement, over and over and over again....and when in doubt ask...in a lot of cases you do need permission to engage a target... I just want to add this, Civilians regards of what conflict, always pay the highest price....and while tragic...it is war...most decisions are made on the fly, with no time to think and the outcome is not always a good one...Murphy's law rules what can go wrong normally does...
  17. I can list a dozen conflicts which would prove you wrong....Iraq one and two, Afghanistan, etc etc... I take you you have not been in a conflict....their are very little in the ways of rules...for the most part the objective is to kill more of them in as quick as you can....I'll give you an example WWII Dresden fire bombings, Hiroshima ....B-52 bombing strikes in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan...Are we better....Sorry but there is no nice way to kill, but killing the most is how you win....And the west is pretty good at killing....In the history books we look like the guys in white, in reality we are as soaked in blood as the next guy....You want to get rid of Hamas you need to kill large amounts of them, plus destroy their support net work....their charities, their supply chain, their training grounds, entire chain of command, anyone that provides them with anything... hunt them down like dogs....24/7.... Nobody is asking you to like it....or even approve of it....You don't have to live in their shoes, because if you did you would have a much different mind set...
  18. Once again thanks for replying with words..... Thats your opinion.... That's what i said, she insulted the ones that are not very smart.... Perhaps your right, but that does not make them any smarter.... That's democracy, again does not mean those lefties made the right choice....i mean their track record so far is dismal at best... No, in reality liberals don't like criticism of any kind....just take it, use it to become better, at picking out leaders....
  19. Well at least now your saying the liberals had a hand in it...11 years worth anyways.... Well your party is in opposition, you can biIch all you want as well, It is after all guaranteed in our charter of rights...for now any ways...
  20. Why would it not get carte blanche in the region...everyone else gets carte blanche......why not Israel...Hamas killed 1200, took 250 hostages killing dozens of those hostages, ....plus wounding well over 2000...there is a price to be paid for that.....Israel had said it goals were to destroy Hamas, that has not been done yet....As for criticism nobody is free from criticism...but then again do you think anyone in Israel cares what is said...or who is saying it...
  21. Trade news from the US... This is not just a trump issue, this is our nation cheating on Cusma....
  22. Actually I'm impressed, your actually posted something, its full of sh!t but at least your using the key board... She did not insult all Canadians just the ones that voted for any party on the left, and had they been the most educated of the Canadian people they would have seen the errors of their ways....Justin Running the country into the ground and those mor0n liberal voters gave him the power 3 times in a row, that does not make them smarter it makes them idio!s...So excuse all of us if we don't trust anyone that voted for the left side, to make any smart decision.....
  23. Following his election as Prime Minister in 2025, Mark Carney has been described as adopting several core policy planks previously championed by Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre (PP). These moves, often labeled by critics as "political plagiarism" or "counterfeit Conservatism," are designed to move the Liberal Party rightward on fiscal and economic issues to neutralize Conservative strengths. The Globe and Mail +3 Key ideas and policy reversals reported as being borrowed from Poilievre include: Scrapping the Consumer Carbon Tax: One of Carney's first actions was to "axe the tax" on gasoline and heating fuels, effectively adopting Poilievre's central 2025 campaign mantra. Reversing Capital Gains Tax Increases: Carney announced his government would not proceed with the planned increase to the capital gains inclusion rate (from 50% to 66.7%), a hike the Conservatives had strongly opposed. Tax Reductions for Lower Income Bracket: Carney initiated a 1-percentage-point cut to the lowest personal income tax bracket, matching a tax-cut promise made by Poilievre, though described by critics as less substantial. Reducing Federal Bureaucracy: Adopting the Conservative focus on "cutting red tape," Carney's government announced reductions in the size of the public service, including workforce adjustment notices. Reversing EV Mandates: Carney overturned the Trudeau-era mandate requiring 100% of new car sales to be electric by 2035, a policy Poilievre campaigned against. Pro-Resource Development Tone: Carney adopted a more supportive stance toward energy projects, including favoring pipeline development (specifically referencing an East Coast pipeline) to move Alberta bitumen to market, similar to Poilievre's "nation-building" rhetoric. GST Relief on New Homes: Carney implemented GST relief for new home construction, aligning with the Conservative proposal to remove taxes to boost housing supply. Rhetorical Shifts: Carney began using similar language in speeches, echoing Poilievre's focus on the "Canadian promise," "hard work," and "safe streets". Facebook +9 While adopting these policies, Carney has been criticized for keeping certain Liberal policies in place—such as the industrial carbon tax—that Poilievre promised to eliminate.
