I wasn't cheering him on, i said he had some valid points....No one is sure what Trump is going to do, not sure what to tell you....And i was not trolling you, i was informing you of what my opinion was....you can take it or leave it....

It just does not bode well for his credibility in the long run....If one of my officers told me that, i would have asked him if he was serious, then told him to pound sand... If there is one thing the REME corp is good at is coming up with solutions....be it beefer suspensions, or what ever it required to find a solution...not to mention the company would go to great lengths to find a solution to the problem...I remember being on the LAV 6.0 testing program in Gagetown....we would find a problem they would within days have a solution...money talks with them... They also have up armored Humvees, which somehow get deployed magically.... there is 4 to 5 vehicles per platoon, 15 to 18 to a company....thats a lot of chinooks, not to mention air supresion, pre bombing runs , missle strikes, jamming aircraft, just the insertion....the extraction could take place any where...I guess what i'm saying any mission depends on resources available and are they willing to risk them... One has to penetrate the front line, you try and do that in a light veh, and your going to die....Russia is having issues try to break through with tanks and IFV.... even Ukrainian SOF or LT Inf forces are using up armored Humvees to attack dug in Russian Lt infantry forces....If i had a choice on speeding across open ground against dug in Inf i'd go with an IFV...and those Light Infantry guys boosting this veh up....have never had to do that....Those with any combat experience are much higher ranks right now....

After several friendly fire accidents by US air support i did pray to the big guy more than once "i wish we had Canadian air support....And i will also be the first to say i owe my life to those Yankee flyers, on more than one occasion... On the helo side, been dropped off by some of the craziest Canadian Chinook pilot that could balance that bird on the side of a mountain, with just the ramp on the ground....saving us from humping all the way up the mountain....trust me with a ruck weighing in at over 120 lbs in was well appreciated....

According to you, and many other Canadians, your vote is your to use anyways you want, vote green they seem to have a very popular Hamas following....in fact Their leader says she takes her orders from them.... fact remains he will be elected by a majority, he will form government and despite all the tears you will shed, and how many times mom will yell down stairs for you to stop screaming....PP will be PM... Not today, not tommorrow, maybe in your fantasy universe will he see prison time... As for bombing Gaza, lets not forget Lebanon, Syria, Iran....i hope PP starts sending more bombs to Israel under the Get rid of terrorist today program.

Thats your opinion....I'm not sure what he is going to do,

BRICS, NATO, Ukraine - Multipolar World, Canada
Army Guy replied to August1991's topic in The Rest of the World
I guess the rest of the country went nationalist on you... You wish we canadians got along...why are we so divided then... -
Military has been doing this for decades, trucking, or inserting by helo, landing 10 to 15 kms from the objective and then dismounting...You want to get on the X quicker you do that in an IFV and in force, do it in an IFV...nothing is faster across rough terrain....lets remember the army is a combined ops force, and it depends for it's survival on all the branches, tanks, arty, combat engs, helos and fast air...and in some cases Naval assets...very rarely do they act alone, shit even the SF boys rely on support from other military assets... Even mech forces do dismounted ops all the time it is not uncommon to walk in "all night" and attack at dawn, take the objective and either wait for follow up forces, and resupply, very rarely do we bug out unless it is a raid or taking out a target...And if it is a raid then we are taking our IFV with us....

In my entire 34 years of service not once has some senior member told me to get my boots wet so i can focus..Those rookie soldiers that have got their boots wet on purpose when they did not have to, learned that lesson the hard way...every soldier knows you need to keep your feet dry as long as possible, for as long as possiable wet feet get colder very fast, wet socks will chaff the shit out of your feet, cause serious problems in short order...one thing a soldiers does carry is more socks, and if patrolling a lot a second pair of boots... Being a Major one would think he would know what he talking about, but you know what they say, if you know jack shit then you teach or become a project manger........and being a vandoo makes it worse as i know they know better.... The razor purchase makes sense, as the light Infantry traditionally never had heavy weapons' like TOW, 81 mm Mortars, even 40 mm C-16 very heavy weapons takes 3 or 4 guys to haul all that around on foot...So ya hauling heavy weapons around in a small light veh makes sense...but this veh as a source of transport is to noisy, bulky, and in complex terrain will be useless...all the things he talked about....and everything he said about LAV's, is false the benefit of having a 25 mm on a mobile platform out wieghs all the negatives he mentioned.....and then the comment about well we could put on heavy doors and armor but the enemy will just attack with a larger weapon ....makes no sense, if this vehicle is ambushed or engaged they are going to target it with everything they have no one is going to say stop it's a light veh only small arms fire... Anyways he does not sell it very well...i'm sure it is a blast boonie blasting around the training area...but there are many better solutions out there than this rig....and if it was sooo good why are our SF guys not using it...

From what Ukraine has said in the past, they are not willing to accept any loss of territory....Ukraine is hurting both in manpower and resources....So i'm not sure if anything has changed... Russia has to much invested in ukraine right now, the only way i think they would concede if Putin was dead or removed....and even then i'm not so sure.... I do agree with you NATO has not lived up to it's promises or has supplied any real game changing equipment in any real numbers that make a difference...And i don't think that is going to change any time soon....Not sure how the US election is going to change the face of the conflict ... NATO is a paper tiger....and has cashed in on the peace bonds pretty hard, and is just now scrambling to rearm itself, with some countries on a war footing already...Overwhelming it's manufacture capacity by a large number... South Korea is another question mark and could fill in where NATO is short....already debating defencive weapons only but NK soldiers could change all of that....And SK is all ready on a war footing and it's manufacturing plants already up to war time speeds.
-
Your assuming that Ukraine is going to give up current occupied territory for a peace treaty...? If Russia is not currently concerned/ scared about NATO forces, why would parts of that organization hold any more weight , i mean you did say solid security guarantee. And if NATO can not supply Ukraine with it's military needs right now , what makes you think a sub group of that Organization would be able to....After this conflict is over Ukraine military is going to have to build from scratch a military that will prevent any future Russia assualts, going to take Billions let alone repair the damage to ukraine infra structures...

BRICS, NATO, Ukraine - Multipolar World, Canada
Army Guy replied to August1991's topic in The Rest of the World
WOW...i'm sure Historians around the globe would disagree, we have a huge group in Quebec that want to go their separate way, a huge group in Alberta that wants the same thing, we have huge english / french divide, not to mention the left and right side of politics that can't even talk to each other, lets not even mention the LGBTQ war on Parents and other woke agendas...., Palestinian protests that are making it unsafe for Israelis Canadians, unvaccinated vs the vaccinated that was fun times, Convoy supporters vs Ottawa citizens, gun owners vs non gun owners, every federal department is on fire while we Canadians break out the marshmallows.... Unions that want more money , to work from home...Canadians don't get along....we tolerate those in our close circle the rest well F*ck the rest it is every one for themselves...Liberal /NDP government have divided this country into little pieces....and you for some reason can't see all of that from all the smoke around you....This country is one huge dumpster fire... That means everything we have avoided a civil war...SO what, lots of countries have not had one, does not prove anything one way or another... We get along , perhaps in your drug induced coma, we do get along...and maybe your some nice guy that has not been outside in 20 years....The global doomsday clock has never been closer to the world tearing itself apart....and we has a nation will be dragged kicking and screaming into that reality...."we get along" what a joke.... given half a chance Canadians will tear themselves apart.... -
Whats a solid security guarantee look like....The only thing i can think of is ,Ukraine gets NATO membership, thats not going to happen, for lots of reasons, not all NATO countries agree, and it is a Russian sticking point to continue the war... or someone removes Putin and decides to withdrawal from ukraine...i don't see this happening NATO steps up its support gives Ukraine what it needs to push Russia out of Ukraine....i don't see this happening either... NATO enters the war with Russia and throws russia back ...Not going to happen...

'You are not welcome here,' Qatar tells Hamas - report

Everyone of this terrorist should be on every countries kill or capture list.... -
According to our current government and those on the left This is what multi culturalism looks like This makes our country stronger....I call BS.....I don't often agree with DUI, but he is right, if your found guilty of this type of crimes you should be dropped back off in Gaza, you and you entire family tree...Stop all refugee and immigration from any and all Middle eastern Countries...Our entire immigration policies need to be reworked...
-
None of this matters, for a couple reasons, Canadians don't care...and nobody is going to be held responsible..at least not politically...

That is possible, i don't even know how you could control that or any other variable , Buyers will generally shop around looking for the best deal, if thats not possible then they will pay the higher price if thats the home they want....I'm not sure how the market works in other provinces, but the Buyer is aware of how much the home sold for last...how much the land taxes are etc...if the buyer has any smarts they are not going to buy a home that sold for 500K then a months later is asking 580K...they are probably going to look for that contractor that is passing on some of those GST savings to the buyer like CDN fox suggested... This is not the only PP plan to help build more homes...once again we should be asking what was any liberal policies in this regards, I'm not aware of very many...

I get your concerns Beaver,The Maj is the project manger, of course he is going to sell this veh, Thats his job.......and disregard things like heaters, cover from the wind, and elements.... he does not sound like he has spent a lot of time in the field....i say that becasue one does not jump in a puddle to get your feet wet before a patrol,on purpose anyways, the Army spent a lot of time and money keeping your feet dry....Water is just another obstacle, having wet feet in the fall is a good way to take yourselves out of battle....why would you jump in a puddle on purpose, try an focus with wet feet marching good knows how far, your feet would get shredded.... then try any focus...It was not a good analogy.... His Platoon warrant or CSM should have slapped him in the back of the head for pulling anything that stupid...Now if there is no choice but to move through a wet zone, then yes your going to be uncomfortable, but if you have a choice , keep your feet dry....when ever you can... his comments about layering your clothing is why we take off clothing when doing strenuous activities, and put it back on when static...stick your hands outside your car when your driving highway speeds....see how long it takes to get uncomfortable...then imagine your entire body.... just for the life of me can not see this purchase on a positive side...Is it better than walking sure it is, but tell me is Ukraine using a veh like, must be a reason for it...Why would we send it over to Latvia when most of Russian troops are at least mechanized...even their Light Infantry are armed with BMD's and light tanks...

Civil War in America
Army Guy replied to NAME REMOVED's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Last time Canada we had a traitor in Canada we paid him 10 million dollars, it is what we do.......and he was a terrorist...and she did what exactly...said some stuff WOW...if anything we should be rounding up liberals/NDP/ and green voters and sending them up north, way up north....no still further up north.. -
when you give a starving man some food thats all he is going to talk about...Not very often anything new arrives in the forces, so regardless of what it is it is going to be news....

I hope it comes with APS of some sort germans have developed one of their own plus are using tropy systems as well, German also designed one for top attacks.. It is not just a turret upgrade the chassis is modified to hold smaller but more powerful 1600 hp engine, along with more upgrades to suspension, new torsion bars, etc...it might be easier to build a the entire tank....as germany does not make any chassis anymore only one nation does and i forget which one...or so the rumor goes... New A8 has a complete new suspension over the A7 plus along with a long list of upgrades...and it may include an upgraded turret top armor being reinforced as the Swedish one was...it won't be long before a new model comes out, something on the lines of their concept vehs, it's strange no one has even looked at the concept vehs yet considering Ukraine conflict and what they have been going through.
-
Normally that is correct, but starting with the LeoIIa7 Plus they upgraded the suspension, to accommodate more armor, new FCS, modified barrel to accommodate new ammo and new pressures, new ceramic coatings.. the LeoIIA7plus has active protection but it is mounted on the turret, the LeoIIA8 has the active protection built into the turret, also has a lot of new suspension items in place and extra armor added, new power pact 1600 hp vice 1500HP, new FCS, upgraded thermal sites, day sites, new fire control computers... You could upgrade the chassis of the A6M can C2 to leo IIA8, but the turret needs to be changed out as it's Protection is built into the turrent vice mounted onto....But every country has modified their tanks to fit their needs hard to find them all the same...like our tanks series of our tanks have many different spare parts that are not common from one series to the other, in our case we have 3 types..
