Me too. I am completely fed up of being told to shut up and support our troups. Somehow, I find it vey difficult to accept "We are saving the world! We are bringing world peace! We are fighting insurgents!" and other such vacuous "mission" statements. I refuse to believe that nations go to war for any reason greater than the almighty dollar. I agree. Unfortunately, every Canadian is required to pay for it through their taxes and without choice. I think it would be more appropriate to pass a collection basket around and let the war-mongers fund this "mission" themselves. No problem. As long as you trot out the collection boxes for the myriad of socialist boondoogles.

Canadians insult America (again)
B. Max replied to America1's topic in Canada / United States Relations
In my opinion the poll is meaningless because most Canadians could not identify a single foreign policy the USA applies to the middle eat. Nor could most people in the middle east. Nor could most Americans. The phrase represents a successfull slogan widely used by opponents of the USA in Iraq and elsewhere. It sounds good but has no specific meaning. I would like to be straigtend out if anyone can quote foreign policy statements by the USA that caused the 9/11 disaster. The fact is many Canadians are dumber than a sack of hammer heads when it comes to the realities of the world. They are the willing dupes and easy prey for the Cindy Sheehan's, and old Jack Taliban types. The 911 attacks were an attack on the North American economy just as much as they were an attack on American property. The Islamic butchers have said as much. If pinned down on what they claim as American mid east foreign policy they would tell you, support for Israel and Israel's self defence policy. It's nothing but the new anti semitism. -
Canadians want government to meet Kyoto targets
B. Max replied to gerryhatrick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
If knowing what's right and standing by it gives me "moral superiority" then I guess that's what I'm struttin' with on this topic. I would say claiming things like water vapor is causing the harmful Global Warming we're experiencing makes a person incredibly immoral if they are being willfully ignorant. Actually no one has claimed any such thing as far as i can see. What we are saying is that water vapor is the most abundant green house gas in the atmosphere. Which it is. Nothing immoral here except for the scare mongers ability to put two false hoods in one sentence and claim them as fact. There is no one claiming that water vapor is causing global warming, nor is there any harmful global warming. Nor is there any proof of man made global warming. http://www.friendsofscience.org/index.php?ide=4 -
Canadians want government to meet Kyoto targets
B. Max replied to gerryhatrick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
B. Max, would you object if I came over to your house and dumped garbage on your front lawn (without paying you for the inconvenience)? So what gives anyone the right to dump garbage into the atmosphere for free? Can I walk into a WalMart and take what I need (without paying)? Do you agree that anyone should be able to litter anywhere they want? In this world, we accept it as normal that we pay for the use of something. We should pay for the use of the environment. In fact, many of our problems stem from the fact that what often appears to be free usually isn't. There's no such thing as a free lunch. Are you also suggesting CO2 is a pollutant. Because if you are, then you are a polluter. What right do you have to suck air. -

Ignoramuses carrying signs. As Buffalo Springfield so eloquently wrote back in 1969 (I think the song author was Canada's own Neil Young) (song lyrics from memory so may not be exact): Maybe we should have water vapor declared a pollutant. -
Canadians want government to meet Kyoto targets
B. Max replied to gerryhatrick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I do not even know a single Canadian who even knows what the Kyoto plan actually involves! Hands up anybody out there who knows anything about the Kyoto deal???? I'm not a Canadian, but I know plenty about it. It had its genesis in a financial fraud driven by Maurice Strong. The "cause" was picked up by a combination of "command and control" people who cannot stand allowing ordinary people to enjoy prosperity, even if they do quite well themselves. The science is flimsy to non-existant on how any "global warming" can be attributed to human activities as opposed to natural cycles. Oh, the punch line; 97% of greenhouse gases are water vapor, 3% CO2. Any idea how much economic activity would have to be reduced to make a meaningful dent, even if "global warming" was man-made? Yeah and the treehuggers want to burn hydrogen and pump more water vapor into the atmosphere. -
My brother put it very well the other day when we were chatting it up. He said 'If someone came into your home, took away you valuables, personal items, beat you, and told you what to read and how to raise your children, how to dress, and what religion you had to follow, took away all your choices and ability to make your own future...wouldn't you want someone to come and help?' That sounds a lot like the UN and the road they're on.

There has to be something on the books for arresting these traitors during war time and putting them on trial.

Canadians want government to meet Kyoto targets
B. Max replied to gerryhatrick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
What that poll says is that most Canadians are willing dupes. Most Canadians think food comes from the grocery store. Does that mean we should do away with farms. I will give you this. The government has done absolutely noting to tell people the truth, and they should not be forgiven for that. They should have exposed man made global warming and kyoto for the frauds that they are. -
Some people will never change their mind in the face of insurmountable evidence, but if you're tempted google "proof of global warming". The facts are the facts. http://www.lesstaxonfuel.co.uk/warming.htm You facts lost credibility when they tried to dispute CO2 as a non-pollutant (even the U.S. Clean Air act defines it so, or do we have different air - link). Strange how MOST climatologist will disagree with your so-called facts. You're clearly in the minority of world and science opinion on global warming. I suppose you think the depletion of the ozone layer is a natural phenomenon as well. C02 is not a pollutant, in fact it is essential for life to exist. Just because the EPA says so does not make it so. That would be the same EPA that lost its credibility in the past misrepresenting studies. Misrepresentations that a judge had to correct after they were taken to court, and now calling CO2 a pollutant. It's absurd in the extreme.

Global warming isn't happening, you think? Or is it happening but we're not causing it. I'm interested to know which of these wacko POV's you adhere to. The planet warms and cools naturally that is not wacko it is scientific fact. The phony computer models that drive the global warming hysteria is what's whacko. Models that can't even be made to match the historical temperature records can not predict the future. There is not the slightest bit of proof for man made global warming.

Global warming is a farce and they know it. No government in their right mind is going to destroy the economy and expect to get re-elected. Kyoto was a UN plot to destroy the industrialized economies, or by way of paying tribute to the third world marxist run back waters save their economies. To Harpers credit he said go to hell.

Harper has given the enviro whackos the boot when it comes to his new enviro policy to be released this fall. That in its self is good sign. On the other hand, asking the duped and brain washed public seems like a waste of time. A better plan would have been to come out and tell the truth. If he doesn't it will likely end up coming back to bite him in the ass. The video in the link would be a good place to start. It shows how the uninformed public in general have been duped, and how the anti capitalists have high jacked the tree hugger organizations for the purpose of their own agenda and turned it into big business. http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-44...teller+bullshit

A trip to the front lines with our soldiers
B. Max replied to B. Max's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
This is the video already denounced by former General Lewis MacKenzie as endangering troops in the field. It has been talked about in another thread. I missed that thread, but don't see how it endangers our troops. -

NDP- LAYTON "Invite Taliban to Peace Talks"
B. Max replied to M.Dancer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Harper should offer Layton and his collection of misfits transportation over there on the next plane. -
As much as I despise all Liberals in Canada, I find The Western Stardard to be even more despicable for hosting such disgusting bigotry on its webserver.Furthermore, your argumentative style will never be as neurotic as mine. Give up. Then you must find free speech despicable. That satirical liberal link that the standard has on its web site was first put up by some kids. They were then threatened by some liberal party lawyer who forced them to take it down. When the standard found out about it they hosted it and dared the liberal party to threaten them. To date i believe they have not. Trotting out the liberals favorite word "bigot" where it is not applicable could be a sign of some type of neurosis. Maybe that's whats with liberals, but i always thought it was because they had no argument.

Maybe Bush can shut down the New Times and have the owners, writers and subscribers arrested as terrorists. More accurately, traitors.

Unless, anybody can state clearly what the direction of the mission happens to be, the goals, an exit strategy and a criteria to judge success, I would say Jack Layton has it right. Not everybody in Canada supports what Canadian troups are doing in Afghanistan. Maybe Jack Layton is speaking for them. Yeah and we know the type. Anti American, anti Israel. http://www.westernstandard.ca/liberal/liberal.html

http://www.smalldeadanimals.com/archives/004340.html And because one extremist source says it... I KNOW ITS TRUE!!! woohoo. After all the doctored photos lately, I don't trust one image to make a judgement about a very complex issue. The only doctered photo's I'm aware of have come from the leftist new york times. The same new york times that published government anti terrorist operations. There is nothing complex about it. Like bush said. You are either with us, or you are the terrorists.

I guess jack thinks that with the passing of five years people will have forgotten the reason we went into Afghanistan and jack can now begin telling lies. I wonder if he got those marching orders from the pro terrorist crowd at the UN or did the Toronto or Montreal connection put him up to it. You are a real piece of leftist work jack. http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Politics/2006/...1789786-cp.html
