  1. It's called coming face to face with reality.
  2. The Judeo Christian religion as it is sometimes refered to is based on history. I think one could argue that politics isn't necessarily based on anything.
  3. The answer is yes, and has already been determined for you. If one is defending themselves against oppressive government. It's all about putting it in proper context. The right to keep and bear arms is an individual natural right of all men. http://www.barefootsworld.net/senate82.html#quote1 "The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in Government." -- Thomas Jefferson, Author of The Declaration of Independence, and President of the United States. To understand the bill of rights one must understand it's purpose, why and how it came to be. http://www.barefootsworld.net/consti10.html#140-4
  4. I think DDT was correctly banned in temperate areas. In the tropics, I suspect that the human cost of the ban was too high. Why was it correctly banned when no evidence exists to ban it.
  5. I've heard all those apples and oranges arguments before. However the lunatics are a product of the so called civilized society. You would be just as well advised to keep the number of the morgue handy, as 911.
  6. The point is the stats have changed from 2002. So what.
  7. I'm sure he would have. We must also consider what Christ told His disciples in His last hours with them: ". . . he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one." (Luke 22:36). Keep in mind that the sword was the finest offensive weapon available to an individual soldier—the equivalent then of a military rifle today. Christians believe in individual rights, the right of self defense being one of them. The framers demonstrated a clear belief and understanding.
  8. Why give 2002 results when 2005 results are right in the link that was published? That's not the point. The gun grab had been in effect for five years while violent crime was rising. Yet the homocide rate remained almost steady from a period before the gun gab. There no evidence gun control works. http://utahshootingsports.com/ However states that introduced right to carry laws saw a drop in their crime rates.
  9. These are some of the same groups that now run around trying to destroy economies and send people to the poor house. http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/financi...6d-70976886167b
  10. Australian crime stats. http://www.aic.gov.au/publications/facts/2...igures_2005.pdf Homicides down. Robbery down Assaults up. However, more women are reporting domestic assaults now. Other crime is down. Look up the numbers yourself. The crime stats are up, away up. The only thing not away up is the homicide rate which has remained fairly steady. Proof that gun grabber propaganda is false. http://www.chronwatch.com/content/contentD...&catcode=13 http://www.aic.gov.au/publications/facts/2...igures_2002.pdf
  11. Why is it interesting.
  12. Then there are the results. http://www.ecclesia.org/truth/australia.html
  13. Gee, I read the link and didn't see the word "Liberals" anywhere. Freaked out right winger -- scared of his own shadow -- after all that "black thing" following you around all day could be a terrist! Cood bee a mudslim! Booga booga I never considered it would be read by someone not up to speed on their politics.
  14. They want us to be like Eroupe, but they sure don't want us to know what's like. I guess one does reap what sow. I really don't have any sympathy for them, in fact let it burn, and this time we better not be going to bail their ass out. http://www.brusselsjournal.com/node/1384
  15. Nothing is keeping us together. It just happens to be the current situation. We are not getting closer or further apart at the moment. The only thing that really matters right now, is what changes are coming that will put the momentum in one direction or the other. By the way, there is no crisis. Oil production is projected to increase and climate change can only be measured over thousand of years and only after the event.
  16. Harper could have pulled Canada out this week. Why didn't he? I don't know, but I wish he would. We have sent embarrassment after embarrassment to the UN and signed onto just about every socialist nincompoop idea they ever came up with. I don't agree that much with McCain but this time is one time that I do. If you are not getting out of the UN at least send the right guy. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2006/9/...4358.shtml?s=ic
  17. Not to worry, there is another one just like him waiting in the shadows. The UN long ago out lived its usefulness. Which is why it became a self serving entity bent on its own preservation. http://www.freedomalliance.org/view_article.php?a_id=723
  18. I agree, and the last provincial election where a lot of tory supporters stayed home is the proof. Those who are sure that Alberta won't separate should urge that the secession question be put on all provincial election ballots.
  19. delete
  20. An idea that only exists inside the heads of those who would use it for political gain and endanger our troops. Other than that it is twice removed from reality.
  21. Harper is right. To not support the mission is to under mine it, there by undermining the troops are doing the fighting. You should be ashamed of yourself. That is nonsense, and it is despicable nonsense. It is not nonsense. Not only did years of leftist appeasement give us 911 they aid and abet the enemy by trying to undermining the war on Islamic terrorists hell bent on world conquest. Harper and Bush should have long ago called it what it is.
  22. Harper is right. To not support the mission is to under mine it, there by undermining the troops are doing the fighting. You should be ashamed of yourself.
  23. Actually the first time they ever looked they found a hole. For all they know it's always been there. It's size is dependant on the temperature. I guess that dispels the myth again, of man made global warming.
  24. It's kind of a tried and true attention getter. Direct, and to the point. No need to ask for clarification. its also technically illegal....but hey thats coming from my crazy liberal side that still wants a fair and sustainable international legal system that enforces its rules....not in tune with the reality that we have a superpower that just doesn't care That's funny I don't remember anyone saying it was illegal when that despot in Iran said he wanted to wipe Israel off the map. Did you have him in mind for a judge in the international justice system.
  25. Chavez sees himself in some sort of apprenticeship to take over from poppa Fidel as a south American king pin. I would say his latest performance at the cesspool of corruption has confirmed to Americans that they are surrounded by idiots and despots who shouldn't even be allowed into the US. Even some democrats have come out in support of Bush. Americans should be demanding the UN pack up and get out. Let them set up shop in some back water like Venezuela.
